Magic Veteran Bench Super Mo Brothers.

 

NGL I'm half expecting Fultz to finally have his breakout season, a few years late. He was pretty good last season.

 

Great test to start the season for both teams. I don’t know what to expect but I am excited. Our bench has been steeling games hopefully they won’t have to. Just get our first win by out smarting and out working the other team. They are just as deep, athletic loaded with potential as we are.

GO ROCKETS-> first win

 

I expect that Cole Anthony and Gary Harris play more minutes than him and Suggs.....the shooting has to be there.

And Jett Howard. And Caleb Houstan (stacked there in depth)

Or probably not....

 

Though the Rockets lineup has much more toughness, the Magic might expect an easy pushover game. It may take them a quarter to get used to the transformation (actual professional defense being played, communication happening, physicality, etc.). If the Rockets have any hot shooting, they could just run away with this first game.

I am curious how we'll match up on the glass with Orlando's overall size.

That Dillon Brooks v. Franz Wagner matchup reminds me of the World Cup.

The last thing I'm anxious to see in game one is Amen Thompson off the bench. Can he establish a role as a scorer and distributor? What backcourt combinations does Udoka try with AT? Does he slide down to a forward spot? I don't see how Joe Ingles could possibly stay in front of him.

 

Let's see how our defense looks in real NBA games.

 

Even the Silas Rockets gave them fits, they know the Rockets are a mismatch waiting to happen.

How do you figure? We have 2 starters who weren't even on the team last year and got two top rookies and a backup big. Orlando is trotting out the exact same team.

 

Not sure. He's missed the last 3 games so I just assumed so.

 

Nope, Jonathan Isaac was not healthy last year, huge shot blocker.

And I think they added Jett Howard and Joe Ingles as shooters.

Anthony Black is also there at the end of the bench.

2nd unit might be above average......

 

Let’s see what Jabari does. I still think he’s an average player NBA player.

Who says they are top 100, ESPN, hahahahaha. Anybody outside the media that knows basketball is not smoking the Banchero grass. He’s destined to be a mediocre starter or good role player off the bench. Most of the rookie of the year guys are media and NBA driven. Take a look at the Spurs preseason and the silk gloves the refs were using with Wemby. He’ll be rookie of the year, whether he deserves it or not, just like Banchero.

 

I expect their young team to take the same leap I expect our young team to take: plus it’s addition by subtraction for the Magic with Bol Bol gone.
