You think TMac made this decision? This was on JVG all the way. JVG wanted to see what Gaines and Boki could do on the floor. Also, there is a threat that Weisbrod and Johnny Davis could send Cato or Battie to hit TMac hard. Weisbrod and Davis probably dislike TMac a lot and vice versa. It certainly doesn't help to see Gaines be a non-factor on offense. At least the Rockets don't have to make it hard not to pick up the extension on Boki.

The Rockets may be forced to play Weatherspoon or Padgett minutes at the 3. Both can hit the jumper. Weatherspoon is also a nice rebounder. Zone them up in order to minimize their defensive liabilities at the SF position.

Van Gundy wisely kept Tmac out of this meaningless game.

He's been baited with word and mind games, and it could have gotten real ugly out there on the court.

boki had a good first half i personally thought, he had 6 boards 2 blocks and he had a lot of energy, he may of went 1-5 from the field but you gotta see his one make which was a nice layup. also he drew a charge and hustled up and down the court. His jumpshot will evenutally fall, you can see it in his form. I just don't know why he can't knock it down with regularity.

and as for bowen, that fool just has hustle, his shot is so ugly i don't know how it gets to the rim. he hustles a lot though which is definitely a plus. You guys are making it seem like boki's playing terrible which he really isn't.

Man...it's totally different when the two floor leaders JJ and Ward are not on the floor. JJ and Ward have intangibles that can only be attained with experience in the NBA. Grant Hill has that, and it looks like he might actually be able to relay that to Steve and Cuttino this year.

I agree that the hockey thug could have sent out his cronies to bust T-Mac's grill. But you have to remember these guys are professionals and its not like T-Mac is a hated guy around the league either. And it will probably be better that T-Mac doesn't play this game just because he might try to do something that could get him hurt. I was just venting at JVG because I was really looking forward to Francis vs. T-Mac.

Boki is not looking good...but please at least run some plays for him to take advantage of his slashing ability...another irk I have with JVG

It seems the decision is a really wise one. Why risk your starters in a possibly dangerous game.

I'm not watching the game but can I assume C. Coop & Bill Worell are calling the game?

If so good thing I'm not watching. Coop talking and no T-mac.

No it's Bill Worell and i think BUllard or some other guy unless Coops Voice has gotten really low lol...

And that is what Boki needs to do is drive...enough of spot up shooting...drive to the basic...apparently you have success in that.
