I think it's been proven that Canaan can score against 3rd stringers, d-leaguers, and summer leaguers.

But he struggles mightily when he has to face real NBA competition.

Cannan did more in 13 minutes than Ish has this whole preseason

 

The bench impressed me tonight... some individuals didn't but overall I like the direction this team is going. We are trying hard to play Defense.

Canaan is what he is, an undersized scoring 2 guard that doesn't have NBA-level playmaking abilities. Maybe he'll be a respectable backup eventually

 

So it's also been proven that Motiejunas struggles mightily against NBA 3rd stringers?

 

So keep Canaan over Smith. Keep Black and Dorsey. Adrien may be odd man out because we want to develop Capela.

 

Yeah, me too! Well I actually was taking a midterm during the game. So I technically missed the entire game.

I hope someone uploads the 16-0 comeback + full game highlights. that would be awesome!

Adrien is the most polished of the 3. Adrien can also rebound his ass off and he plays better defense than both Dorsey and Black.

He'd be the first one I keep of the three.

 

I guess the CSN deal really is over, Bill and Bull saying goodbye to Murph on the postgame show.

 

The more that Ish plays the lower his value becomes.

 

So what's the deal with the last preseason game? Will it be on TV?

 

It's only one game, but I think we have enough to say the following:

- Adrien
- Canaan

Default:
- Johnson
- Capella

Start Sweatin':
- Ish Smith
- Black
- Dorsey

Pretty clear only one can make it between Black and Dorsey. Make the Friday Spurs game (last of the preseason) a de facto tryout between the two. Have Dwight sit again, and give one guy the 1st and 3rd quarters, and the other guy the 2nd and 4th. No threat of benching, so stamina will come into play. Show us everything you got and the winner takes the spot.

I've been quite surprised Ish has disappeared these last stretch of games. Thought he had the lock over Canaan, but now I'm afraid he's gonna be cut.

And Black sweatin'? He's been the most consistent big man, Dorsey is the only one who should be sweatin'
