    Are you stupid?
The Magic won the game and T-Mac was 20-37 from the field.
Really are you stupid? 56 shots? lost the game?

It depends on what defense you're talking about. If you want shot blocking and intimidation in the paint Yao wins hands down. If you're talking about guarding somebody out by the three point line, yeah, that's probably not a good thing to task Yao with unless it's another big center.

You could have definitely left Yao in tonight if he was matching up against Howard. In fact, there isn't anybody on the Rockets team who matches up as well with Howard one on one as Yao.

When the rockets took control of the game in the 4th quarter and had the 11 point lead, they throttled back, began dumping it into yao and lost all the ball and player movement they had been using to get easy shots all night.
If adleman had just kept running the offense instead of truncating it and just throwing it into yao, orlando never would have had an opportunity to come back at the end. That was a really poorly played last 4 minutes offensively by the rockets.

I also like to point out that even though the 3 blind mice referees knows clearly that Foyle's fingers was still on the ball before time expires. They don't want this to go to Overtime for Yao to pad his stats up. Yao already spanked Dwight Howard, and they don't want it to look worst on paper if Yao had over 30 points including overtime.

    DURR!!!

As long as the coach recognizes that, that's good enough for me... When is Scola going to make a crunch-time appearance? The hack-a-Chuck thing almost made it possible, but Battier and Bonzi were at the forwards.

So is it just me or is it becoming increasingly obvious that the most important person on our team is our PG?

Notice i used the word important, not best.

You can say that about any team. It's like the quarterback, you don't need an All-Pro player at that position, you just need one that knows how to run an offense.

After all the times the Rox get screwed over on calls, I have no problem with one going our way!

Isn't this the 2nd game in a row someone has run into Yao when he's not looking at he gets called for the foul?

Rafer had a +11.6 On/Off +/- last year, and I thought that indicated he was an important part of the team. Most dismissed it, though, and said he was the primary reason for our failures.

He has his weaknesses. His shooting right now is little over his head -- we shouldn't expect close to 50% shooting from him. But I think he brings a lot of positive attributes to the table, shooting aside, that get overlooked.

man, yao's got some hops in this pic. i heard he got something like 24 in. before he had a major foot injury before coming to the nba. imagine a yao has big hops. that'd be scary.

We must be blessed to have him. He is unique.

Just imagine, some day, we might lose him and we are gonna miss him for a LONG time.

    Take care, man!
