AB is way too passive out there. He should take on more scoring.

yao is rushing his shot, he just needs to take his time and the shots will start to drop. watch his jump hook, he isn't getting his normal extension on it, he's pushing it at the basket. he'll be fine in the second half.

I'm so glad we have a "hood" perspective in Ron Ron. He may be selfish and brash, but the man knows what he's doing within his own "street game" milieu, and I could not be happier with the acquisition. I sense that we will win this game handily (relatively speaking, by 8-10 points) and set a tone similar to the one we set after game one in Portland. Of course we've been "misunderestimated" by the sports media, but we have a legitimate chance to win this series (Former President Bush, November 6, 2000). Let's stay optimistic and continue this solid play.

second half is going to be a different story.

the lakers lethargic team will be long gone. they will come out to fight and the rockets need to match that intensity.

I think the scramble for the ball between Kobe and Battier made Kobe lose his cool and focus and was one of the big reasons Kobe only shot 4/12.

I think the key to this series is to make Kobe frustrated and agitated so he plays the game emotionally instead of logically

Mavs front is way better than the Lakes. And they have Terry, Rox gave away the 4th. Put Hayes in a lot .

If this team come out and play with the intensity that they play against Portland, we should be up huge by now. It's disappointing we didn't capitalize on so many of the Lakers' mistakes. IF you want to win...this is it!! Lakers don't usually play this bad...you have got to take advantage of every possession.

we can contain kobe. see what shane did in the first half.

make him drive to the left. kobe doesnt pass good with left hand, so he has to shoot or lay up the ball. But with a little help from our big, shane is makine kobe miss those on a consitant base. because age is catching up on him. he is not that atheletic any more. his hanging time in the air going down.

he can average 25-28 points in this series, but his efficiency is down.

so far gasol and odom are not doing good. that's how we beat them. slow down kobe, and contain gasol and odom.

bynum is like a better oden. he is not going to kill us.

You know at home the Lakers always have a run in them where they can do no wrong for 6-7 mins. The rockets can't let them have one and if they do we have to keep the score close going down the stretch.

The Rockets need better play from Scola and Landry. Chuck Hayes was great, but those two need to be more impactful.

That is what I am concerned about. Lakers really didn't play well and you played average and you still have only 3 points lead. You know they are gonna make a run and we better prepare ourselves for that.

i can already see it the fakers change their D on yao in the 2nd half. They will come to double from the baseline (most likely will be Kobe) and strip the ball from yao once he gets the entry pass. I hope the rox have a counter for that.

The goal should be to make Kobe have one attempt from the field for every point he scores. If the rockets can do that they will be doing a hell of a defensive job on him.
