This series will come down to the play of our back court against theirs. If AB and Von Wafer play up to the level we know they are capable of, there's no reason to believe that the Rockets can't take this series.

I hope RA has a good strategy for Kobe after meeting with them 4 times this season. What I hope it involves is at least some double-teams with both Artest and Battier. Can you picture Artest coming from all sides, trying to steal the ball while Battier is shuffling his feat putting a hand in his face :D

Ron Artest should post up Kobe early and often. Wear him down some on D, pin him up under the basket on missed shots, and maybe get some fouls on him. Working Kobe hard when he's on D is as important to slowing him down as working him hard when he's got the ball in his hands.

I am not going to lie but I wish Rafer was back for this series, he always embarrasses Fisher, and Fisher always abuses AB, things won't change this series either, I hope Lowry gets a **** load of minutes

This is going to be an important matchup. The Lakers usually go at Brooks, by having Fisher post him up or getting him to defend Bryant through defensive switches.

Brooks is in for a hard, hard fight.

Damn it feels good to be posting on a thread for Game 1, ROUND 2!
We need to play with a ton of energy from the start and if we can steal game 1 we can make a run.

I don't know why people keep bringing up Rocket are 0-4 against the laker. It is true that Rocket are 0 - 4 against the laker. But i think at least 1 of the game we play with T-mac. And the other games we just try to figure out how to play without T-mac at that time. So in my mind we are 2 - 2, because we have great chance to win the other games we just not playing smart in 4th. I think we improve a lot when we play Portland, we doing a lot better now.

I keep saying this.. and it's a shame.. but i'm real worried about the refs making all these BS calls for kobe. and the sad thing is, we can't do anything about it but watch it happen and watch the momentum disappear magically.

It's a damn shame that fans have to worry about refs. a damn shame...

yup, that's the major thing that worries me. Let's hope Artest responds Vernon Maxwell / Mario Elie style

Monday just seems to far away. I can't wait to see the Good Guys play in Los Angeles. I hope Yao pops Gasol with an elbow in this series. I know that he didn't push Oden or TrashTats around during the Portland series, but that's because those guys are irrelevant centers. Really, I think I just hate Pau and Yao has the opportunity to show him how real centers play. No Flopping!

the most telling victory by the Lakers was the March 11 game in Houston. No Bynum, and Odom was suspended for that game, playing the 2nd game of a back-to-back in the middle of a 12-game road trip.

despite being under-man and travel-wary, the Lakers beat the Rox in Toyota Center easily.

I remember Kobe saying "No one will punk us this year"...We need to be physical in this series, if anything.
