corrections....we make it to the playofs just in a lower seed. So it's not all over. Howard comes back. And JB in tyhe playoffs. ROX win the first round. HOUSTON IS ROCKING!
well, memphis won and minny is blowing out utah 31-8. we are in trouble unless this ship is righted soon.
If we lose this game I'm going to break something. It might be a lamp, a vase, an arm....something will be broken.
We are in a lot of trouble. This is an absolute must win game. The Lakers have given us a very hard time. We can beat them but we can't afford any mistakes. It's going to be a hard game for us.
didnt we lose against them when kobe was out once already? odom killed us too. i cant remember if it was preseason or if it was a regular season game? does anyone else remember???
Last time we played the Lakers is what sparked our great February, if I remember correctly. Hopefully the Lakers will do that for us again... just hope it doesn't come down to nerve-wracking Yao freethrows though. Rockets 110, Lakers 100.
With the injuries Tmac and Yao are having, plus Juwan out, I won't feel disappointed if Rockets loses so long they play professionaly and don't give up, this game or any other game. I guess with all these unfortunate events, I just think Rockets deserves some breaks. I just hope the players can enyoy playing the rest of the games this season. I am already looking forward to the off-season: everybody gets some rest, Rockets make some trades or acquisition, etc.
what we need is a mobile 4 that can shoot. we always struggle against teams that gave that advantage over us. we lack in that dept. we wont be a serious team untill we get a good 4.
Must win. I was at the New Orleans game and there is no way to analyze this team right now, too many injuries and tired bodies. Must win.
everyone on the team should feel the sense of urgency right now. the memphies, nuggets, twolves do. they blew out their opponents last night. it's time for the rockets show who they really are. go rockets! blow out the fakers.
Do or die! If they lose, you can pretty much kiss the playoffs goodbye, hello lottery. Amazing. Stunning. Unbelieveable, Incredible. But, very likely. My prediction is a loss to the Lakers equals a skid of monumental proportions. I don't think the Rockets will win another game, if they lose in LA. I hope they feel as desperate as I do. You know when TMac scores 44 and Ming breaks 20 and you still lose to a lottery team, it is hard to be optimistic.
From now on the Rockets must treat every game they play like a playoff game, the stars have to shine their brightest starting with this game. I expect Yao to do his thing on offense (whenever he can) and also play great interior defense and rebound the ball better than he normally does. Now if he's having trouble getting the ball in the post then he better be prepared to get the ball off of offensive rebounds, he should be able to dominate the interior on both ends of the court, with or without the ball. I expect to see T-Mac play his best ball of the season, that means taking control of the games from start to finish with smart, winning basketball, NOT by shooting the ball 34 times! He needs to involve his teammates FIRST, let Yao handle the offense to start the game, play hard on defense, be unselfish with the ball so the rest will do the same. Once winning time comes around, well the game should be out of the Lakers reach by then anyway, but if it isn't it's on him to put it away. Dude has to step up starting tonight. Rockets - 98 Lakers - 82
The Rockets need this win, they need it big time! The Nuggets are hot on our tail for the 6th spot. The Lakers are in a massive freefall right now and seem to be just what need. Our guards still need to find their shot and Wesley needs to hit his open looks. Getting open shots have not been the problem over the last 3 game, it's just a matter of hitting them. I think the Roxs will continue their strong offensive showing from Tuesday but tonite it will be combined with a fine defensive performance as well, JVG was not too happy after Tuesday's game.
