Yes... the Lakers are just packing it in big-time around Yao right now (starting w/ Grant fronting him). One thing that helped in the 1st half was a.) grant not playing much, and b.) Padgett in there so the Lakers couldn't pack it in. I'd expect Scotty the body to get in there real soon, because right now our offense is nothing but outside shots (which are falling... for now).
We pretty much have to now, because the Lakers are playing Yao really rough inside, and it is working well for them so far in this quarter. The ONLY thing that scares me now is that the Lakers are heating up big time from the perimeter.
TERRIBLE defense by the Rockets! And Yao needs to get his ass a good position NOW! Lakers are actually playing some excellent defense now, which we are not doing much of.
He just got in, and made a basket right away. My god, the Lakers are JACKINg up threes non stop, but making them somehow.
classic Rockets this year you can tell the Lakers really think they can win this game .....they are hustling out there and almost scoring at will
No, MUSCLE creates better positioning. We need Yao to get inside position or we WON'T win! Mark my words.
Agreed... this game should be over right now. Just lack of focus, and lack of stamina... maybe even lack of healthy players... but right now, they don't have many answers to tons of questions.
Alright, thats fgine with me, long as they're putting up shots with yao getting doubled or tripled inside
Yah, bad PERIMETER defense, and that means they penetrate inside and we have to foul them and they to the line more, which has been the case this game so far. The Lakers are either hot from the perimeter or not, and it doesn't help that they are red hot from outside this quarter so far.
well we are not because they are not letting yao catch the ball in the post so we are forced to go away from him...although with yao i continue to say its all mental
Can T-Mac still dunk? Seriously they gotta win this game and clinch a playoff spot asap. Cuz T-mac is looking like 35 not 25. D up Houston!
Not having Jon Barry hurts in that department as well... he can find Yao w/ passes that other guys can't (or are just too hesitant to throw).
yao has not scored or grabbed a rebound this quarter....its all about that the lakers are doing folks
