What other basketball franchise would you believe in more in an elimination game than the Houston Rockets? Even though the old championship Clutch City squad is gone, Clutch City remains. We have seen the heart of Clutch City beat strongly, coming back in the 4th quarter of game 4, but we have yet to see it maintain a steady rythym.

Historically, elimination games are what brings Clutch City to life, its foundation is built upon staving off elimination. Can these Rockets tap into the power, the aura, the legend, of Clutch City? I think they can.

Gary Payton says "they aint comin back to Houston". See Charles Barkley circa 1994 and 95.

Rockets play inspired and with fire, win Game 5 in LA.

See you Saturday in Clutch City, Payton.

Believe or you might as well root for the Fakers! We've played them close throughout the series and very well could be up 3-1. I'll be rooting my face off on Wednesday. You've got faith from someone in NY.

A predictable finish to a disappointing season and slightly more interesting playoffs:

    Rockets: 79
    Lakers: 95

The 4-1 playoff rout comes to an end.

I maintain that Jim Jackson essentially played for the Lakers in this series.

Do you guys ACTUALLY think David Stern and the NBA will LET the Rockets win???? Seriously guys...NO WAY.

The Rockets will lose...not because of anything the Rockets do or don't do. They will lose because more people will WATCH TV if the Lakers are getting destroyed in the 2nd round to the Spurs and there will be more opportunity for more butts in the seats at Staples showing off more stars like Jack and Penny and the rest of the Hollywood trash.

Trust me guys...if it's a close game...watch out for some phantom fouls.

Unfortunatly...the Rockets will become another casualty of ratings if the game is close.

The only way the Rockets win is if they absolutely make it a no-doubter!!!

    BTW - GO ROCKETS!!!!!!!!!!!

We play tough through 3 quarters but the pressure of having to win to go on gets to the Rocks and the Fakers pull away.

    Lakers 92
    Rocks 85

For some reason, rockets always plays good in LA. I have a feeling that rocks might just win this one, but there is no way they can win the series.
