I'm as big of a T-Mac homer as there is but I really can't agree with this. Just because T-Mac is a nicer guy and his team mates may enjoy playing with him more than Kobe's do really means nothing. The proof is in the TEAM's results, and no T-Mac led team has ever won a playoff series.

All this bickering whether Yao or T-Mac would make a better "leader" or who can and cannot close out games is getting ridiculous. There's no one true definition of a leader. I've watched Dr. J, Kareem, Magic, Bird, Dream, Jordan, and Duncan all lead their teams in their own way.

Right now, what makes me sick is the fact that, with T-Mac out, decent above-average players on other teams would automatically be the Rockets' 2nd best player on the court. I'm sick of scanning the waiver wire to see who would become our next savior. They better get a tall, athletic 2-guard and some shooters in the offseason!

I don't think it was because straight after when the other commentator said that JVG and Patrick would be mad at him for saying that, Walton said nothing. Surely he would have clarified what he mean't if he did just mean Ewing.

I mean it was kind of a ridiculous comment, JVG isn't the best coach in the history of bball but he's not the worst. Besides, plenty of coaches are only considered great now because they had the greatest players. Its really a chicken/egg type situation.

Nor has any Kobe-led team. True, T-Mac has not taken any team to a playoff series victory, but it should have happened last season. I can't believe it didn't. We'll just have to wait and see next season. OH and the Rockets were much better than the Lakers last season.

Kobe didn't last season, and even though the Lakers are most probably in the playoffs this season, I doubt they'd get past the Spurs or Suns, whichever one they play.

Just imagine how good Rox will be when Tmac comes back. Yao-Tmac is the new dynasty waiting for a few good role players.

transition defense and defense against Kobe is the primary reason that doomed Rockets today.

The guards are extremely slow in getting back today.

I really thought the rockets could have doubled Kobe more, especially in the 1st half. And I really dont know how much more Yao can be pushed, he's always the first in the gym and the last to leave, I really dont know what more he can do.......... well mabey if he learns surgery and fixes TMAC's back

damn man... that's really messed up... my first post came in a losing game .. and to the FAKERS & their ballhog KOBE  .. that's crazy.. I am really mad... I think we should have played KOBE with Bogans & Hayes the whole game... I pretty sure we would have had a chance in beating them....

I really dont think Bogans would have that much success with Kobe on he's own, but in the first half Kobe was just killing Head, i was surprised JVG didnt double Kobe that often

33/16, 64% from the floor, I am really not sure how much you can ask him to do. Maybe he should have demanded the ball more in 3rd quarter instead of watching Bogans, Alston, and Head launching bricks.

EXACTLY with out much help from other rockets players there is not really much he can do, its the same old same old, teams first decide to leave one on one with yao and get killed in the first half, then they open their eyes and realize none of the other rockets can hit a shot and decide to double and triple yao hopin he would pass out of it to a open man, its just frustrating sometimes

tracy needs to find suits that fit him. it's all too big for him.

i think he needs a new stylist and a new trainer. doing all those r****ded back straining exercises when u have a bad back.

The weakness in Yao's game is that he does not generate much foul trouble for opposing teams. Kwame Brown can't contain Yao, but he still stays on the court as Yao didn't put him on foul trouble.

The ability of putting another team on foul trouble is very important as it messes up the other team's defense.

I believe that today's game was more of an abberation than the norm (in terms of Yao's foul shot attempts).Overall he has been getting to the line quite often since his return/improvement IMO.

Sorry, I have to say you are WRONG!!!. Repeat it after me , Wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
For this game, refs did not call too many foulsl. Even kobe only drew a few fouls from rockets players. In the other games after the allstargame, yao drew 8-10 fouls(at least) each game. Check nba.com or sports.yahoo.com/nba. If you want to get your point from only one game, I have give this for you-------STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!
