Yes, we are so short-handed right now. Before I think DW was assigned to defend kobe. He is also small but he is more experienced than head.
Anyone who watched the game tell me Yao did not get his fair share of calls which could send him to the foul line more than 3 times?
no way, yao got fouled a lot, but the refs didn't call it, but they would call those weak offensive fouls on yao....even the snapper acknowledged this
Oh was it, thanks. By looking at the stats now, I seem to get the feeling that the game was called pretty evenly. Wait a minute, ONLY 13 foul shots from either team?
Oh...so that's why he kept fighting. Yao has learned the American way and becomes a stat-padder. Well, that's the only reason I am still interested in Rockets' game this season, to see how many career-high Yao can make. Until next season I guess.
Yeah, we lost neatly After the previous two games, I started to build up some confidence about our role players~~~~~~but, bang, it got smashed tonight, ashless!!! Ohh, god, it just stings when you have to admit that you have top players in a yet rusty team Anyway, let's keep hope for next season!
Best the Rockets can do now is .500. That's with winning all nine of the remaining games. Given the Rockets' tendency to play to their opponents' level, I'm more worried about the games against teams out of the playoff chase than the remaining game against San Antonio to close out the season.
So Tmac went with the team? I wonder why. Hope he wasn't planning on return soon, it's too risky. Well, now that LA own the tie-breaker, we can officially say there's no chance for the playoff. BUT, I still want them to play hard, keep the momentum to next season.
Off your topic. But I just really want to say that you can change you sig now, since it's already got a clear answer: YAO, and only Yao.
I hope tmac plays this year, just because I want to see him again, for just 1 game. We could remember what was possible again. On the other hand, if that 1 game causes tmac to get injured again...
Well, for those who want the tank job, here you go, an embarassment on national TV that kicks off an important 6 game road trip. This game only proves just how much we need T-Mac, who is basically our Steve Nash on offense, and Raja Bell on defense. When Kobe went bananas in the third, that would have been Tracy's cue to switch over and bother Kobe with his length, and keep us within striking range. Most of our guards had nothing in the tank today; Rafer played horribly today, Luther hit a Rookie speed bump (though that two hand throwdown was a thing of beauty; brought me out of my chair), Frahm is clearly not in shape to play more than 15 minutes or so, and Keith Bogans.... Keith Bogans looks mentally and physically exhausted. Although we should never base our conclustions on one play, the Bryant fast-break alley-oop in the 3rd sticks out in my mind; Bogans didn't even try to stop Parker from driving to the hoop, basically conceding the basket. He looks like he's playing on dead legs; his shots are all short, and he can't even elevate to contest shots on the defensive end. Hopefully, I'm putting the reverse jinx on him, and next game he busts out with 25 points on 4-6 three point shooting, but I'd also not be surprised to hear that he's playing through an injury, either. Like Walton, Snapper and Turico commented in the game, Kwame Brown played Yao as well as he could within his physical limitations, despite the points that Yao put up. Brown has a pretty solid base, and was able to hold his position pretty well; Yao just shot over the top again and again. It's kind of the same situation as when David Wesley guards Kobe or Jerry Stackhouse; they're both excellent at the turnaround jumpshot from the post position; so while Wesley is able to keep them from backing him down, or making a post move, they can easily shoot right over the top of him. It also helps that Kwame is an atrocious shot-blocker and he knows it; he stays on the ground, and doesn't fall for Yao's pump-fakes. It's not a good sign when your team looks sluggish at the beginning of a road trip, but the way they played in the first half certainly gave me hope for next year. T-Mac's a notorious second half player, much like Black Mamba, and what the Lakers were able to do to us is what we're going to do to a lot of teams if McGrady is healthy next year.
