Most of Mobley's shots in the first 2 quarters came from mobley passing to a big man and cutting to the basket. That's not team basketball? Francis didn't start to take over the game until the end when it was pretty clear Yao was a non factor in this game. I am begging you to try and explain your post. I dare you to tell us exactly how Cat and Steve took over the game and threw team ball out the door. The rockets shot poorly, but they still outshot the lakers tonight who were pathetic. The refs bailed them out of this game. Rockets: 33-81 for 40.7% Lakers: 29-77 for 37.7%
I believe it is Shaq who is "Stanky!" Did anyone else see the interview after the game with Cherryl Miller? He said some random dumb **** and then finished by saying he was "stanky" like Diesel fuel! What an intelligent human being... admit to foul human B.O. on national TV. Oh and is it just me, or does Kenny Smith always look stoned on the TNT after show. Lots of hostility tonight......anyways, what could the Rox do (refs were hampering them all game) I thought they gave it all they got in that game, even though Yao Ming did play somewhat subpar, they were in it till the end.
for as much dumb crap as shaq says, he can be entertaining. i thought the diesel comment was pretty hilarious. i wonder why i have Yetti on ignore then i see beauties like the post above quoted and remember. yeah, damn that mobley for all those layups and swishes. and damn steve for taking 3 fewer shots but almost scoring 3 times as many points. if only they had involved the 3-15 man some more. oh well, fairly entertaining game. refs screwed us as expected (though they didn't call it as bad as i thought they could've), we turned it over as expected, our defense held the lakers to a lower score than they're used to again, our guards played well against the lakers again (they're getting pretty good at that), and we lost as expected. now, for some reason, for the second time this season we have to play the nuggets on the second night of a back to back, after a lakers game, in denver. how did that work out?
Calm down guys. It's just one bad game from Yao and you guys are already so quick to lose abandon ship. I'm disappointed in Yao, sure, but I'm also willing to give him the benefit of the doubt here. Consider this loss a positive learning experience for him. I'm sure Yao is MORE disappointed and angry than anyone of us here about tonight, and if he is a Champion, he will learn from this humiliation and grow only stronger. Next time Yao plays like this in the playoff against the Lakers, you might have some justification for losing faith. And if he does this several more times during the playoffs, I may begin to doubt also. But not today, not after this ONE game. Yao has done too much and shown too much this season for all the goodwill to dissipate. And why do you guys blame the guards. It was the guards, especially Mobley who kept us in the game. The absence of Cato also hurt. Against a Shaq and a Malone, we're too small. We desperately needed a big body to help Yao out tonight. The thing that disappointed me most about Yao was not his poor FG% or his points. Anyone can have an off-night. It was his lack of aggression, which is really a sign of timidity and lack of confidence. I think Yao was affected mentally by Cato's absence. Yao needs to look himself in the mirror, and have confidence in himself. Confidence comes through experience, and tonight was a good experience for him. Nobody likes feeling timid. I hope Yao comes out with the aggressiveness and brave spirit he displayed in his previous confrontations with Shaq. Take it to the hoop Yao! Attack Shaq! Don't let him smell your fear. The Shaq, for all his experience and super-sized ego, is really afraid of Yao Ming. His performance tonight was not impressive for a man of his stature. He outplayed Yao but was not dominant offensively. It was really Yao who lost the game tonight.

The rebouding disaparity, especially giving up so many offensive boards, is what cost us the game.
