On an isolation play - Kobe Bryant is guarding Skip to my Lou. Skip starts to dribble... Bryant is ready.... Skip does a crossover... Bryant falls to the ground... Rafer steps back and hits a three.

On the other hand Kobe Bryant scores 101 pts but still lose 154-153 in triple overtime!

52 points for the Lakers scrubs? You give them too much credit.

stop underrating this team. they were 26-13 once to start the season when they were healthy and kobe shot 19-20 shots a game. phil will tell kobe to tone it down w/ odom and walton back now.

tonight can be a big win since the jazz are losing badly to the spurs.

we can make up a whole game on them with a win tonight. with a loss, we lose no ground.

    no worries tonight guys!

It doesn't look like the Magic/Pacers game will end by 9:30... we'll need the MMS links prepared STAT!

i'd bet that lucas will backup rafer for about 12 minutes. snyder can backup both 2/3 spots for 24 minutes tonight.

rafer, tmac, and shane can all keep thier minutes around 36.

Where did you hear this from? If its true - we should see Bonzi Wells either that or JL3 - and I prefer Wells over JL3

Lakers always give us a hard time, so if Yao and McGrady don't at least play to their averages and one or more of our role players steps up and consistently make shots, the Lakers will come out with a victory.

The Lakers are another team -- much like the Rockets -- that's stuck in mediocrity. It's a battle of the 'mediocre' tonight, so it should be fun! ;)

bonzi over JL3 means rafer plays 48 minutes tonight.

You must be new to ESPN, Legler has been on the Rockets bandwagon (even when we didn't deserve it, IMO) for the better part of two seasons now.

Legler, Barry and that French-Canadian guy that was doing our game the other night against the Clippers.

Get your game face on guys. This game is huge. We desperately need home court advantage and a win tonight would be a big step in that direction. I remember a post game interview with Tracy Mcgrady after the game 7 loss to Dallas in 2005 and he said that he will prepare harder in the off season so that he can ensure that if there was a game 7 next year, it would be in Houston.

These next 10 games could really make or break our season. Playing in Utah is tough.

i would say having the 6th best record in the league is better than mediocre. still, this will be a tough game. kobe is kobe. odom allways has a good game against the rox. on the other hand tmac will be tmac and yao will have a good game against the small laker frontline.

it will come down to role players. shane vs walton. rafer vs smush. evans vs snyder. hayes vs turiaf. lucas vs farmar. juwon vs bynum.

    these teams really matchup well.

i think mediocrity in terms of playoff success. this season is a waste if we lose in the first round again anyways.

though we can win on the road, i believe the team just plays better at home. plus the TC was ridiculous v. the mavs 2 yrs ago in the playoffs. they just suck in the reg. season
