Actually I was slightly upset that at the end of the 4th we went away from Yao for long durations. If we had actually started our offense through him, instead of T-mac, we might have never had to play overtime.

Very nice win. Yao is looking sharper and is really looking aggressive on the offensive end. If he continues to back down his defenders for higher percentage shots he could avg 30 a game. McGrady sometimes looks like he is going for the foul call when going to the basket more than actually trying to score, letting out that "HEY!" really loud when he drives to the rack, but I'll take him driving everytime over the outside shot. Alston came up with huge free throws near the end, but his perimeter shooting during the game was awful.

Great win, but the Rockets continuing to squander leads in the fourth quarter is bothering me. Hopefully winning these close games will give them confidence that they can close out games down the road.

    4th seed by Sunday night!!!

uhmmm we did and he either turned it over or got blocked. i thought the exact opposite, maybe the comeback wouldn't have happened if we were were getting something out of those wasted possessions.

no yao was our mos effective offensive player. we HAD to go to him. sure htose things happened, but i think JVG thought he would at least get to the line w/ the calls he got tonight.

Blowing 4th quarter leads was going through my mind as well. But watching over that 4th quarter again, I don't feel too badly about it.

We didn't blow the lead because of anything wrong we were doing. Kobe got hot, and no matter what we did, he hit the shot. He does that sometimes. Offensively we made some mistakes, but it still didn't seem to be the same kind of lulls we've had in other 4th quarters.

Hello, I can't believe you dissed Yao after this win. Leave Yao alone now! You are no worst than the poster you criticized.

I noticed a problem with Yao's low post move when he got blocked by kwame brown. That move is virtually "unblockable" before when Yao executed it properly. He used to do that against jermaine O'neal who is one of the premier shot blockers. The problem I think is that Yao doesn't dribble it hard to his defender.... He used to really bang into the defender real hard before fading away which gave him enough separation and lift on the fadeaway. I noticed when Yao executed this move before the collision when he dribbled it hard with the defensive player actually helped him on his fadeaway because the banging propels or provides a added force towards the direction of the fadeaway. I noticed when yao got blocked by Kwame brown he didn't dribble it hard enough or bang the defender hard enough before fading away. thus , he got blocked easily.

Yao cries all the time. But he actually has a good reason.

All players cry. They all think they don't foul. Why concentrate on that? Concentrate on the fact that he almost willed his team to a win against two of the top 7 players in the world all by himself.

I should say the Lakers LOST...BUT!...

yao got blocked on the same move by brand. yao will get blocked. get over it. he's not shaq. but he came back and responded in OT w/ a mini hook shot. it looks bad on TV, but hey, yao OWNED them. :D

yao's mentally tough. he's not gonna come back and try to respond immediately like most scorers. that's why he's team oriented and why we love him. he doesn't get down.

Let's give the officials some credit, too. They had the guts to blow the whistle on the home team (Lakers) when they saw fouls / other violations (i.e., traveling on Kobe late in the OT) committed.

41 FT attempts by the Rockets on the road, with Yao shooting 21 of them. And I don't think Battier was charged with a cheap foul, a call that Kobe so often gets. Gotta love it! Now if we can only get this these officials during the playoffs...

Yea. Hitting clutch shots over a 10 year span means pretty much nothing. Let me put my Rocket Red Glasses on...give me a minute...
