Well, Kobe is terrific. But one rookie with 11 rebound and 39pts and the other 30pts and 10 asst??? They are the best rookies in NBA's history.

    nope thats not true

if tmac had 0/0/0/10 turnovers with the win

i woulda said tmac sucked in the game

but the rest of the team won it

since tmac also put up massive numbers + he got the win then i would pick his performance over Kobes

let me put it more clearly

if both houston and Lakers beat hte spurs by 107-104

    and Kobe got 53/2/2
    and Tmac got 30/5/10

i would still say that Tmac performed better

Screw you Tiggermission for calling our team soft, yet we got the stop that we need down the stretch and most importantly hit all of our critical free-throw in crunch time. Soft my ass...This game wouldn't have gone to overtime had it not been for that lucky bounce off a miss free-throw by brown.

You're a p***y for not taking back what your said after doubting us in overtime down 4, so who's the softie here?

yeah but let's not overexaggerate.. t-mac didn't shoot well, and i attribute this to his confidence level at the end of games... i hope it's not though.. i hope he really was just having an off night, and that he WANTED to take those shots..

don't be mad at this post.. it's truthful. read it objectively.

I'm very happy with his playmaking ability though.. i just want to know he can SCORE when he wants.. and not playmake b/c he's not confident in his shooting ability.

less than 30% shooting = won't win against the elite...

and no, the lakers are not elite.. they are kobe.

If the Lakers are Kobe, and Kobe is considered elite, wouldn't that then equate to the Lakers being elite?

flawed logic. in the context of a single player maybe, not as a team.

Yao played great tonight. He had an all around performance, fans love it, 39 points, 11-18 shooting, made 17 out of 21 free throws, 11 rebounds(3 offensive), and 4 block shots, keep it up big man! YOU R OUR MAN!

I loved mcgrady's performance too, 10 assists, 30 points, but his shooting is still off, 24 shots only hit 7, but i expect him to hit more as the season ends.

Thanks to the dude on craigslist for having cheap enough tickets at the last minute for me to attend the Rockets/Lakers game. Just got home from it and I'm still pumped!

    Few thoughts:
    - First off I thought Van Gundy did a great job of having his team prepared. Plays after timeouts, which is considered a weakness of his in here, were executed well. Fouling Kweme at the end was a nice decision. Despite poor shooting from McGrady and Howard, and a scorching Kobe Bryant, he worked the best with what he had. Which included a big 7 foot 6 guy chipping in 39 :D
    - Kobe I think should get the edge for MVP. He can obviously will his team to the challenge, though also at times lose it for them. Thats what happens when you take HALF the entire team's shots I guess.
    - Battier did a good job of neutralizing Kobe and put him into a cold spell. (Until later when Kobe made everyone look like peons.)
    - Lamar Odom for all his talent and numbers just doesnt still seem like a good number 2 guy. He can be both underrated and overrated.
    - FINALLY Yao got some ref calls going his way on the offensive end.
    - Late in the game, especially like this one, I want the ball in McGrady or Yao's hands EVERYTIME. Don't have it be Kobe willing a team back on one end, and you leave it up to Juwan Howard or Chuck Hayes to counteract on your end. And all-around McGrady game and a win, and 16 free attempts. But he and Yao as a duo can overcome the other team's one superstar if they do it right.

Thats all for now, gonna go off to sleep happy

yeah i can ask for more :p

but seriosuly, T-mac gotta stop taking those jumper in those game deciding shot! When it come to the last shot, the ball will always be on T-mac's hand, but plz take it to the basket strong or pass it yao if hes not doubled.
