    i agree and dissagree.

    yes, if homecourt means anything to our guys they will play this game like thier season depends on it.

    however, since utah lost tonight we wouldn't lose any ground on them if we lose too.

    tonight is a great opportunity to capatalize on thier loss, but it's not a 'must win'.

    good point. i didn't think of it that way. our recent playoff history would be mediocre at best.

    our team does play better at home. i think the rowdies make a huge difference. i would be much more confident in our team beating the jazz if they had homecourt.

    well that type of thinking hurt us v. the mavs 2 yrs ago right when our role players played like that. we had a 2-0 and 2-1 lead, so losing this wouldn't put us in a deficit.

    again i just don't trust our role players on the road. see game 7 when none of them showed up v. the mavs 2 yrs ago. the role players need confidence and the crowd provides that

    all arguments about types of thinking aside, we both agree that homecourt in the playoffs means a heck of alot. especially in a 4 vs 5 matchup.

    we have different role players now.

    mike james, bob sura, jon barry, davis wesley, ryan bowen, and scott padgett are gone.

    juwon and deke remain, but shane, rafer, hayes, and snyder give the rox the same stuff everynight. luther is on and off, and shane & rafer can sometimes have big games.

    i'm much happier with this group of role players.

    of course i want to. i never said i didn't.

    my point was that it's not a 'must win'. it would be great to win, but not horrible to lose.

    don't get me wrong, this is a great opportunity to gain a whole game on these jazzholes. lets just not have a bunch of "the sky is falling" reactions in the event of a loss.
