    I believe this game considering it was at the Staples Center had great meaning for the Rockets. It doesn't mean squat for the Lakers. They know they are good. Rocket players didn't really know they could beat a good team with Van Gundy. Maybe it changes after today. I can only hope they use the pick and roll way more from now on.

    Cato upped his trade value bigtime. He's a legit defender on Shaq without having to destroy the entire defense collapsing on Shaq.

    I hope JVG keeps the Rockets humbled about tonights game despite it being a HUGE win for them, and keeps them ready for tomorrows game against Denver. There's nothing worse I could imagine then a big downer game against Denver after coming off such a huge win. Great win though. Everyone was fantastic, even Moochie.

    My favorite thing about this game:

    Two minutes left, Lakers down 10 with the ball. The announcers talk like the game is over; the Lakers play like the game is over.

    When is the last time you felt comfortable with the Rockets holding a 10-point lead over a team like the Lakers with two minutes left?

    That's backbreaking defense. The kind that not only stops a good team, but demoralizes them so they lose the will to try.

    A huge win! Now, we can see no problem on Rocket. Francis is not the problem. Yao is not the problem. PF is not the problem JVG is not the problem.

    The problem is we have too few games on national TV!

    Stevie Francis almost had a Triple-Double tonight 22 pt..9 boards.. 7 dimes. Hoping that this is his break out game and he'll score at will like he's used to doing in the past.

    the lakers not caring? please. let them continue to stop caring. they'll keep on not caring their butts right out of the playoffs.

    GREAT game. the team only had 12 TOs.

    steve really stepped it up tonight. kudos rockets.

    LB- loved the 70 year/bra support analogy. But I do think if anyone is to use it in their sig, it should be the author himself.

    And Jeff, I appreciate the Seinfeld-Festivus reference. Thank god the Rox won, otherwise this entire board would be conducting a mass "airing of greivances".

    I will wait till the end of the season to make the conclusion. So far, the defense has been good overall.
