can't blame yao for the loss, but he DOES need to be more clutch when it matters. if he starts imposing his will in the 4th, then all that mvp talk can get serious.

The Rockets must have the next two games. The Clippers and Blazers, I believe they take both games.

Those refs were just happy to be raped by kobe and the lakers. Hard to blame the refs, coz they might enjoy that ...

Which on Head or Davis do you have more faith? Are they on the same level?

Dont worry too much about that. We are definitely top 3 when Tmac is back, and the positive side, we almost won over lakers without a superstar. The real thing is worry about, is still JVG and Alston. We are damn good at defense, and damn bad at offense (to be a real contender). I gradually come to the conclusion that the reason why JVG is so nice to Tmac is because he relies on him for offense...

Those of you asking Yao to be more clutch have to realize that from his last 5 years in the league he is being clutch already. His stats right now are soaring high in comparison to previous years, so give the guy more time to be more clutch he will not jump from 18ppg to 40 in one year.

Didn't see this game, went to play basketball instead. Lets say I am glad I made that decision.

Just by loooking at the stat sheet, alston 8-22 FG, 1-6 3PT, was he just chucking up shots again? Man.

I'll say this once again, more of Alston's shots need to be given to Battier and Head, I can't believe Luther Head didn't get more shots than he did today, JVG needs to design some plays for Head to take the shot man.

Alston should always pass it off to someone and only take shots when he's open. He should NEVER shoot it right off the top of the key like he's prone to. With his supposed crazy handles, and I know he has speed, he should drive more. If Alston can't change his damn game, Rockets are always gonna be a scrub team with T-Mac out.

Great Great Game! Yao played really well! As expected, we lost. No shame on Rox, shame on JVG.

If JVG forces Yao to become THE only clutch big man in the history of the game, please tell JVG to remind Yao not shooting fadeaway jumpers and going to the FT line.

Again because of JVG's limited playbook down the stretch, we lost. We will keep losing close games under JVG.

He was fouled clearly for that shot. And the big guy played 41 yesterday. This "clutch" talk is nonsense. He is tall, smart but he is not omnipotent. And I do believe it takes 5, not only one tall guy. If other players step up and he can sit back and get more rest during the first 3 quarter, I can assure you that he can be more clutch as you demanded.

    1. Yao takes 35 shots and only gets 6 free throws? Bryant has more free throws than our whole team? How does that happen, especially when we were the aggressor the whole first half? Houston 27 fouls, Lakers 14. Ridiculous.

    2. Every time Parker pressured Rafer in the backcourt, I kept wondering where VSpan was. He's quicker and can run PnR with Yao much better. What did he do to earn zero minutes this game? Was he late to the bus or something? Rafer is quite an enigma. Gets his 10 assists but on 7 turnovers, fouls out, and shoots horribly. My God man. Wasn't it obvious after 4 or 5 trips with Parker dogging him that it wasn't going to work? Does JVG really have that little trust in VSpan? Sad, really.

    3. Head stunk it up too. Too many turnovers and he forced shots. Dude wasn't open. LA was really keying on him. And then he decides to dribble around and be a point guard. That combination of the Lakers keying on Head on the perimeter and letting Rafer put up a bunch of shots.....really hurt us.

    4. Bonzi.....mixed bag, but getting better. Although, he still got bozoed into too many one on one matchups with Kobe and Kobe took him on both ends of the court. He should have gave up the ball. Not a real smart feller. Still when he's got an average defender on him, he will punish them on the block. Dang, if he were just smarter.

    5. Gundy, is he ever going to say anything about the foul disparity against? Yao should have shot 15-20 free throws this game. Gets fouled on the last shot by Kwame on the shot that would have won the game. No reaction from JVG. It is totally ridiculous how much abuse Yao takes and no call. Not to mention, Kobe should have gotten a T for griping. Crazy.

    6. Does anybody know what happened to VSpan?

    7. Where is VSpan?

    8. Was VSpan injured or sick?

    9. What does VSpan have to do to get some minutes?

    10. What does Rafer have to do to get sent to the bench besides foul out?

Enjoyable game to watch, much of it. Why do I feel like I just had 3 root canals, and a colonoscopy?

It would really suck if we wake up ne morning and find out the the ROCKETS have extended JVG's contract for 3 more years. It is like David CARR all over again. I guess I need to be thankfull for more losses.
