The Lakers took 20+ more free throws than the Rockets. I think the refs became more trigger happy as the Rockets' lead grew bigger. No one likes a blowout, and it especially never happens against a marquee team like the Lakers. Phil Jackson and his reputation will never allow it. Kobe taking 10+ more ft's than Yao...you got to be kidding me. I hope that his newfound respect from the media will transfer to more superstar calls in the near future.

Why S.battier not taking more shots? He shoots well when he @ baseline. He suppose to the the 3th option

Did JVG call that timeout? I am still wondering which f*kn moron call a timeout when Head had a fastbreak and at least got fouled.

JVG's an idiot. He obviously doesn't trust Head like Don Nelson trusts Baron Davis.

Except Alston, who do you want to put in? JL3, vspan? Not 100% but 80% sure they will break down on the moment they step in the court.

Well yeah, the guards broke down, it was pretty obvious rafer was having trouble bring the ball up, and when he does, he was getting into the set way too late. So it's on jvg to come up with a plan adjust for it, not watching rafer fail time and again.

We have all. The only piece missing there is a smart coach who can bring more offensive strategies....

It's sick to see ROX never scores after timeout...

Shaq played a very different game than Yao. Shaq knew to slack off in defense and concentrated on offense. Even PJ asked him to rotate to show the opps guards in perimeter, Shaq would just ignore it. Yao is trying to do all.

Some thing is not right with the way Hayes played. He committed 3 quick fouls in the 1st quarter, but none after that?

how can you be sure about that when they never got the chance? every game i've seen, lucas and spanoulis have been excellent ball handlers. spanoulis can't shoot, but thats easy to fix. tell him not to shoot. just get the ball to someone who can.

True but can T-Mac be trusted to stay healthy, if not the Rockets will always struggle to get wins. I for one wouldn't mind if the Rockets traded T-Mac for AI, at least you know that no matter what AI will finish the season. As for JVG I believe he has had his chances and I hope he doesn't get a new contract.

Fun to watch, except the end. Total disaster, when Yao gets tired. Rockets has ZERO answer for defense AND offense. Alston can't even bring the ball to the front. And Novak is rotting on the bench, can not complain too much about Bill though...

    another tough, frustrating loss.
i enjoyed listening to the espn guys with jon barry. :)
But man, Alston effed up at the end numerous times. Smush Parker looked very good tonight..from the parts I saw..Alston struggled to get the ball past half court with Parker pressuring him.
I don't know, but maybe we should have gotten Head involved in the offense.
Bill Walton kept on asking why Wells wasn't playing..but Wells is unaccustomed to our system..so he would be lost and mess up defensive assignments and all that.
Please, hopefully we win our next game.
    Juwan did well tonight.
The sad thing about Alston was, I thought, man we need a better point right now, and then I thought, Alston's the best point we have..cuz Head would have even more trouble handling the ball.

Do refs call technicals on Kobe, or they just let him fuss and stuff?

they couldn't have doen any worse than rafer, and there are other ways to bring the ball up than have a single guy dribble it across.

God damn it, could u STFU already!

Blaming this loss on Yao is ridiculous. He played 41min last night, he is the only player who had three 35/15 in one season. And you are still saying he is not great enough.

Did u see his face after he got fouled on the last shot in 1st OT?

Man we have a terrible record now against the Western teams and we really have not beaten anyone good teams up until now. Even the Dallas game was early in the season when hey were not ready.

Yeah I believe we have enough talents to win over any team, our coach is not THAT great. However, I don't see a better coach available either. A true great coach should survive with such a great player in Yao, even another great (Tmac) goes down. JVG shows no sign of that----he is close, but he just can not get it done.
