tonight's matchup MUST be a 48 minute effort. the Clippiers played with the Lakers for 42 minutes last week, had the 2 point lead, then let the Lakers run off 22 STRAIGHT POINTS in six minutes. i repeat, tonights game must be a complete effort

Strategy of this game should be to allow Artest to hold Kobe as best as he can

    LOCK DOWN BYNUM and ODOM

Yao and Mcgrady need to lock down these guys to have a chance at winning.

The key will be Yao in this game. If he can avoid foul trouble and stay on the floor he'll cancel out their bigs and keep them from scoring in the paint. I predict we'll see a big game out of Scola tonight. He'll be up for this game against Gasol I just hope the Rockets pass him the ball. Use him in the post and let Yao play the high post.

PG play the Lakers don't have a big advantage in the PG department so if Rafer can find his shot and AB can give us 15pts off the bench they may decide the game because we are evenly matched at most other positions.

Go Rockets! I expect this to be a good close game. Maybe we'll even go overtime or someone might hit a three again to win the game.

If Artest bring his A game on both sides of the floor and Yao can play like he did against the Mavs, there is a chance we can win. Brooks needs to play a lot of minutes too because Rafer is going to be left wide open and we can't afford to lose this because of missed open shots.

I usually hate to bet against the Rockets, but they have looked sluggish lately, while the Lakers have been about the best team in the league.

    Rockets - 89
    Lakers - 102

I doubt if it will be blowout, but I think the Rockets keep it close for most of game and fade away late. Sort of like the Celtics game.

:D Win it , prove it!

Don't worry about Lakers too much, worry about our health. If we wont miss anyone this season, we're gonna make it end with some very expensive rings :D

Lakers win 123 - 90. Yao gets rejected by the rim again. T-Mac scores 2 pts again. Artest jacks up 20 3's but only hit 1 of them.

LA has been starting Rodmonavich and bringing Odom off the bench. I think the starting lineups will show TMac on VRod and RonRon on Kobe. I think our best bet against Odom might be Landry and our biggest challenge is going to be defending the PG. Fisher is very strong so Rafer needs to play well because AB will be no match for Fish. We really need our D to be on tonight also so we don't have to double I would love to see Yao look like a top 5 center and I am hoping that TMac's rest in the other game will allow him to really be the scorer we need him to be tonight, plus now he doesn't have to guard Kobe. GO ROX EFF THE JAZZ AND MAVS.

It will be a close contest between the starting units. The Lakers' second unit will run the Rox to dealth; they will bring home the bacon for the Lakers.
    • Purpose and Gold 101, Rox 93
the Rox's 2nd unit will have to find answers for
 the long and athletic PF Odom, who is probably the best rebounder in this game,
 the greyhound with a 3-pt shot Arriza,
 the quick and extremely vertical Farmar who can adroitly execute the triangle offense,
 the annoying sharp shooting Sasha V, who is more annoying as a defender
in Lakers circle, he has been derisively referred to as chokersman; his team---be it Blazer, Queens or Rox---chokers
Bynum, as a 18 yr old rookie 3 yrs ago, initiated the pushing and shoving contest against Shaq, drew the ire of the BIGGEST / HEAVIEST candidate for a Jenny Craig diet. The kid won't back down from anyone. Yao, on the other hand, as evidenced by his 6-yr career thus far, will always play polite basketball.

If past history is any indication, if anyone is gonna punk his opponent, it will be Bynum.
