It's kobe, just because our first game was against the lakers and kobe did his thing he does every game, doesnt mean we have bad defense...all u guys need to remember, just cuz a defensive coach left, doesnt mean the rockets forgot how to play D. It was just kobe being kobe, relax.

that cross on kobe was a sight to behold. if there was no help man there, tmac might have thrown that down for a poster.

Think about why we traded for him. Because without him the offense becomes stagnent at times. Hes dynamic, hes one of the few players on our team that can create something from nothing. Its something we lacked last year big time.

He can finish shots, he brings confidence when hes out there on the court. You forget we were down 11, when James and Bonzi were put into the game we went up 6. Thats why I want him playing.

No I know its the 1st game. I was just saying what I saw. He had a great game. , and I tend to nit-pick.

    Hilarious!

You think Francis is really thinking of it that way. He does have some loyalty to the Rockets but there was much more to his decision than is revealed through the media. I know a girl that used to "talk" to Francis. Steve loves the strip clubs in Houston as do many other professional athletes.

I have seen Robert Horry more than once at Treasures since he has played for SA, most recently about a year ago. Houston has a huge strip club scene and the players love it... especially, Stevie!

The Strip Club scene is dead in Houston. It has been since the Superbowl arrived in 2002. Too many whores showed the strippers here how to make money by sexual favors.

For those who missed it? Sorry.

Rafer Alston is every bit as terrible as he's ever been.

I hope Steve works himself into shape and out of RA's doghouse ASAP...

there were down 11 cause tmac couldnt hit a shot to save his life and james caught fire..........and rafer was the one feeding him. What happens when the offense isnt stagnant, and james comes in and is still throwing up shots?

James was only good on the floor as the 2 guard when rafer was still running point. when tmac struggles its ok he takes those shots, but if tmac and yao are on, and he's still taking the shots it's a problem. and i guaranttee that will happen

BTW, cant blame Kobe wants out. How hard must he work to win? Laker fans are saying Houston are not much better than the lakers. Fisher actually hit some open shots to help Kobe and that's not going to happen every night. It's one man show with Kobe. When Kobe's out, the Laker team looked horrible. There is no future for Kobe to be on that team if they dont bring in major talents.

Shane Battier was the player of the night before he even took that big three (by the way rafer was WIDE open on that play). His D and intangibles are invaluable. I think the Rockets were significantly better with Battier last year on the court as well.

Rafer is better starting than James but James provides a HUGE spark for us off the bench.

Wells has really good hands and is good at stealing a HUGE benefit b/c he doesn't really gamble to get his steals.

Tmac sags off tremendously defensively. Actually watching him vs Kobe you can tell really how much better Kobe is than T mac. Kobe almost willed his team to win and lets face it, the Lakers look awful right now.

Scolas looked completely lost out there.

Rockets small ball with Rafer t mac battier wells and yao looks really good. I dont know if they played that exact line up but when houston went small it helped them tremendously. I'd like to see them play more this way.

I love derek fisher and wish the rockets signed him up a while back( I dont care about the absurd contract) instead of sura (though my man crush extends out to him as well).

Yao Ming didn't even have a great game and his stats look mvpish

As did T mac but come on dont get stripped at the end of the game.

chuck hayes is a great rebounder/defender/our best power forward

I love Luther Head but its going to be hard for him to see any minutes with the team we have.

Trade Francis and someone else for another pf/center by midseason.

luther played his role well tonight, he didn't play long, but when him and james were in there in the 2nd quarter things were starting to run. I don't mind seeing this kind of a luther playing this kind of a role. he missed a couple of 3's? or one, but they were good shots in the flow of the game. he didn't do too much, or too little.

Is anyone else sick of that crap they do to T-Mac off of screens where the defender on Yao or Hayes will roll out and bump T-Mac off the screen with their hips. I'm sorry, but Kwame brown damn near shoved T-Mac out of bounds on one of them. I can understand if you slide in front of him, but these big men are just bumping him hip to hip to throw him off...that's a foul!
