I hope Howard has a good first half and the Rockets blow the Lakers out in the second half. I can already hear Shaq and Charles practicing their speeches about how "Dwight should dominate more" and he should be averaging "28 and 15" if he does not have 15+points and 10 rebounds by halftime.

I'm only a little scared about Kobe. This game is so many things to him; a chance to embarrass Howard, a chance to remind people he is still the "best" shooting guard in the league by facing the consensus pick in Harden, and a chance to show he is back to being the black mamba. I look for him to be that '06-'07 Kobe and take 35+ shots to get his. Who knows if he is still capable of those types of performances but I still think he will go for 40+ tonight.

And of course, Staple Center on opening night. The crowd is going to be loud as the season is new and most LA fans still think the Lakers are going to win it all this year with Kobe back and getting Linsanity, plus they love the chance to boo Dwight. The Lakers might have a crappy team but if they get a boost from the crowd, who knows how well they play.

Still think the Rockets win by 20 at least, but it will be interesting.

If I could try to put your mind at ease on these fronts at least:
    * Kobe has a ton of mileage now and is literally an old player, recovering from a very significant injury. He's going to be trying to redefine his game without some of his key strengths. If he pushes himself too much on opening night, he's going to be hurt again. In my view, unless he has roided up illegally, this is just a medical fact at this point. He could get 25 points on jumpers, but I don't see him taking over a whole game on offense and/or defense.

    * LA has a well-deserved reputation for worst crowds. Even for opening night they will be late-comers, and even a small Rockets run will put them out of it.

I am not worried about Kobe at all. I think Ariza will shut his ass down all night. Jordan Hill against Howard? LOL. Harden will have Kobe on him I am sure but Harden should easily get by him. Bev will be all up in Lin's face. This should be a lopsided win for the Rockets tonight. Can't wait to watch it.

Personally I support ur cause, I feel ur pain, especially ur only slither of hope is on one leg and taking up half of ur cap space. It's always sad to see the mighty fall, the rod should really put them out of their misery!

P.s I sincerely feel sorry for Nash though, the guy deserves a ring

    Lin for 50!

.. Dream on LOF's!! The Wolverine is STARVING right now and got to get that first taste tonight. Lin is going to know what the rest of the league has been going through and the LOF's are gonna have them a new #1 most hated player in the league. Thank you Bev, we respect everything you do out there on the court.

Harden is going off tonight... he's gonna be in his hometown and he is going to want to bury Kobe in his own building!

    This is our time!
