Really really bad loss. Refs didn't help but we need someone to be the alpha when Alpi is out. Amen can't shoot from outside so he can't be that guy yet. Jalen just doesn't seem to want to be that guy.
Mr. Inconsistent for sure, but no matter how bad he plays, or how many turnovers he has, Ime will sit and watch. It's gross when he plays so bad but still has to take the most shots.

No he was awful in the fourth too. He hit one layup and got 2 free-throws from the refs. He had more turnovers and fouls than made buckets.
The Knicks are not going to the Finals. They struggled against a team without 3 key players. The Rockets young core has to learn how to close out games.

How anyone is okay with this variation of the team is just mind boggling. bottom tier PG play Mediocre SG Dillon brooks is our starting SF Amen is great Jabari was nothing special pre injury and won’t be anything special post Sengun is a good 2nd option on a good team the rest are just energy guys and question marks like Reed. It’s easy to see who has it and who doesn’t. It doesn’t take 5-6 years to make that evaluation.
Part of it is coach failing to adjust. He should blitzed Jalen all quarter long. He was cooking. Let the other guys beat us. Brunson definitely learned from the last game to not go at Thompson and instead was keyed in on finding Green on the pick and rolls to attack him. Jalen was giving Brunson a wide open lane to the basket. Go watch the highlights. It sucked watching it.

Brooks been the same defender he’s been all season. He can’t guard guards. Anybody with quick feet will get by him. Not just in halfcourt but we saw McBride and Hart doing it to him in transition. Hes slow footed.
Yeah Ime has no choice when management is paying him 30+ million and he is the "face of the franchise". Ime already loves Amen Thompson more than he will ever like Jalen Green. Notice how Ime will bench Green and Sengun when they play bad but he never benches Amen.
Taking away that and-one and giving Jalen an offensive foul when Brunson was still sliding (Ime’s fault for wasting a challenge on Holiday’s head smack) were killers. Jalen was totally out of control in the third quarter but he played smarter in the 4th. He needs to figure out how to draw fouls better, or sign a major shoe deal pronto for the “special” calls
Rockets are overachieving with the current players despite the flaws. Give them some credit, they are playing without Sengun, Smith and FVV. The Knicks were only missing OG, so the fact they almost won this against the 2nd best team in the East (IMO) is impressive.
Cam with 18 pts 5 rebounds 2 steals in 22 minutes. I don't get why Ime hates playing Cam. He is far better than Jalen this game.
