Rockets got away with a lot man. I get it, blaming the refs is the popular thing to do, but the Rockets did not do themselves any favors the way they played down the stretch.
Man all our players have devastating flaws. Few players are perfect but our players flaws get exploited at the worse possible time. Amen handles inthe clutch. Adams non offensive reportoire. Tari’s bball iq. Jalen’s lack of whistles on his drive. Dillon’s lack of speed and athleticism. It all showed up in the fourth.
Ime so slow to make adjustments - but Rockets need someone who can draw fouls - which means we need to trade for someone refs love Brooks has been really bad the last 3-4 games on both sides of the ball
He tried to contort himself instead of just running straight into the defender. Needs to just take the contact.
So 0/2 isnt a fact??? +19 is because Cam and Holiday were playing the same time as him. He got taken out while Cam and Holiday played with Jalen Green thats why Sheppard somehow had the highest plus minus. Its not anything Sheppard did cuz if he did something it would show in his stats. 1 to to 1 ast, his only positive contribution is one offensive rebound and you really trying to argue Brickpard somehow outperformed everyone else??? The bolded statement here is why I hate the Reedsters. Imagine being all over Sheppard dick you think Udoka is insecure about Sheppard's greatness. Tell me again about Sheppard's almost perfect shot mechanics? O/2 but almost perfect shot mechanics right?
I'm not even all that worried, we're down like 3 starters, these games are going to be hard to win, especially with how that whistle was going tonight. If we had either Sengun or FVV we probably roll. I don't agree with the Jalen slander tonight. I don't think he's the reason we lost. The reason we lost was Brunson exploding at the end driving consistently past the likes of Tari and Amen for layups and that explicitly should not be happening. Period. It's literally their role on the team to stop that exact thing from happening lol.
We will be once starters come back. Then we trade Green/Reed/Picks for Booker/KD or another star and this team is instantly top 3 in the league. Not mad at the result, this is what you get with Jalen leading the team.
Jalen was awful in the third quarter. Was ok in the fourth but I’d have liked to see Cam play. If we need to keep Jalen in, then fine. But at least have Cam in for Tate, Jae’sean wasn’t doing very well tonight at all.
Too many mistakes in the 2nd half and down the stretch (especially TOs), but I'm proud of the effort they brought minus 3 starters after the debacle Saturday. Saw some great things from Amen despite the key TO. We'll get good look at him running point with Fred out a few games. Cam was rolling in the 2nd half but went flat in the 4th. We can debate whether Udoka should have left him in longer. Knicks have a great closer. Rockets don't have any player resembling a closer. That was the difference tonight.
Brunson took 14 free throws while the entire Rockets team had just 15. The refs were definitely in their bag tonight, missing the most obvious foul by Jalen Green that could have tied the game and refusing to count his and-1.
