I love it when someone is thowing out the "YOF" label when he's losing his argument.

I think Yao gets little respect, because of his height. If he was doing the same thing at 7 feet, the media would be all over it. Because of his height, these other people have all these unrealistic expectations. Not only that but his play is "boring", laying the ball up instead of jamming it down. His play is not filled with highlights, which is all people look at now.

Also, if Yao was in NY or LA, he would be the greatest thing since sliced bread. He would get so much praise and this and that but since he's not from there and in a market, where the media loves to hate, Yao is a bust.

This is true about not getting enough credit bc of his height. Muresan and Bol were ok I guess but Bradley was a scrub. Who cares though... screw the haters.

Maybe the problem isn't Yao, maybe the problem is American cultural values.

But at the end of the day, it doesn't change why Yao doesn't get respect...and that's because he's just comes across as too nice on the court.[/QUOTE]
It's not american culture. It's african american street culture!

They would say what is a big deal if you are 7 and 6, to win a title, you should win at least 9 titles or more. Never care about what the haters are saying, just enjoy a good Rocket season's begining.

His back is against the wall. What did you expect him to do? Labelling is about the only thing he can do now.

I don't know - you're right...funny thing is....I actually like Yao...but I don't like YOF's. You're right....the YOF's are like a pack of hungry wolves...you throw out a piece of meat and they have been chasing me across every thread in this BBS. It's ridiculous.

Actually Frye has been raising his abysmal PER by leaps and bounds. Prior to last Monday's game, he had probably the worst PER (around 4) in the NBA of any regular player....he's been much better since then (he's raised it to 8.6 after last night).

You've got to remember, Frye's only a 2nd year player so this is more of a blip than a pattern.

IMO it's Curry who should sit, with Frye and Lee getting the minutes, provided Frye continues to shake off his slump. Lee, of course, has been absolutely spectacular in relief and deserves to play more, no question.

It's funny that Isiah's idea of a rotation shakeup is playing Nate Robinson more. Robinson makes a lot happen but makes a lot of mistakes too and doesn't have near the impact of Lee or even Balkman, IMO - though getting Marbury off the court seems like a great idea to me.

I don't know why either. I'd look into the mirror if I were you. You sound clueless now. May be you will find a clue if you read every single one of your own posts in the past. May be the reason is that you are a pathetic hater of a certain group of people? I know your back is against the wall now but the more you try to dig yourself out of your hole, the more pathetic you are. Will you ever learn?

Hardly, unless you volunteer to be a racist, like NewYorker.

Normally "YOH" is the only reciprocal courtesy a "YOF" returns.

Race issue turned up in almost every thread that NewYorker posted in lately. Are they coincidence or what?
