Completely agree. He has a low post game and his mid range shot will greatly enhanced his low post game too. Opponents need to guard both the move towards the basket and the move away from it. Yao is tall and nobody can really bother his shot.

Damn Clutch that was a little racy for a family-oriented board like this, wasn't it?

    Nice one Padge!

Rod Strickland is the team mascot and good luck charm. We're 2-0 since acquiring him to ride the pine.:D

Also, Yao's been playing well the past 3 with these old uniforms. They kinda look like the CNT uniforms, so maybe he thought he was playing for China.

    Thank God we won.
Great going for Padgett and Yao at the end of the game but these utter collapses are going to be our downfall unless we cut down our faults and play much better down the stretch.

Yao needs to emulate KG or Tim Duncan. No Shaq please.

payback for that 3 pt bank shot they beat us with in Houston.

But we should have won both of them going away.

I think people need to realize Yao is Peja when it comes to shooting below the arc. So i mean it's the coach that take that ability away from him..... Hopefully JVG now realize how diffuclt it is to guard Yao not just inside but outside as well.

Exactly. I want to see Yao more using highpost like Webber and Miller did for the Kings.

great win but still play not like a team.

We just us our personal talent and Lucky to win. We need a real pg and pf badly.

Please no that old guy , just play AB ok.

I wish to see p and r and let the yao shoot the ball. JVG do something, should let yao combine his high and low post game.

what time we can play like a really team. smooth and no sdupied TO and hit everything should hit.

No injury pls, otherwise we may have to see another over 40 player.

It seems like he is open so many times when they do a pick and roll with Yao and T-mac/Sura. If Tmac/Sura would just look his way a few times he could get some easy 15 ft jump shots. Last few games he has hit a few of those so it looks like his shot is coming back. We need to add that weapon to our offense. A pick and roll with T-mac and Yao could be very very effective and almost unstoppable.

P.s. Rod Strickland made some good passes that were right in time for a catch and shoot by T-mac. Hopefully he can knock down that outside shot (alteast better than AB) and we could have a backup PG that can give us 10-15 mins a game.

That's why we have both Tmac and Yao, we can win with these two.

They can take us all the way.

why did we sign mutumbo again? this dude had a open shot from less than 4 ft away from the basket. took forever for his brain to registers, and than opted to pass once 2 defenders get near him. He holds the ball like its burning his hands, common he should hold it like we hold vollyballs, that easy.

Great win after a back to back. Rockets are finally finding a way to win instead of a way to lose, a hallmark of a good team. Who took the leash off of Yao, one of the Clutch BBS posters must be a Rox coach (maybe its JVG) because as soon as the members started complaining that the Rox weren't allowing Yao to shoot/hit his outside shots, Yao starts shooting/hitting outside shots.

To me Yao seems more relaxed, is playing more efficiently and playing with more rhythm the last few games. He seems to be wrestling with the defenders less, is not moving from side to side to get position as much and saving energy, is mixing it up and playing more outside, standing around to conserve energy (a good thing) instead of running all over the floor to set screens. Its funny but Yao is doing all the things that I have heard suggested on this board, shows you the members can ball.

He's a backup center. We didn't bring him in to take 20 shots a game.

    Vollyballs?

I saw somebody gave JVG a dozen cards telling him how to use Yao, and JVG was reading that cards tonight before he called the TO in the late 4th quarter.

I notice on like at least 5 perfect pick and rolls that Yao didn't even look back to recieve the pass; it was like he already knows he's not getting that pass. Very weird.

Oh I forgot to put on my YOH hat. Dude is 7'6" he should have scored 50 points, if he got the 50 points he should have, we would have won by 20 instead of by 1. Dude will never amount to anything, trade him to the Lakers for Mihm, Odom and Butler.;)

Why cannot we put the game away when we should? Why on earth did they ignore Yao on several possesions and only got back to him when we are down by 3 pts?
