The refs for this game weren't watching TV... (at least I hope they weren't)... they shouldn't take this into account for at least this game.
I do agree that Jim Gray is an ass, but the onus is on Steve. Franics was having a great first half against the top team in the west, so ESPN was obviously going to want to chat with him. I understand you are mad, but you have to control yourself. If not for your own well-being, but for the teams well-being. Stuart
i'm sure haven will be in here to remind us it's illogical to take one game and extrapolate it into any real meaning but despite 1-5 we pretty much collapsed w/o him and then took off once he came back in (and apparently would be up more if not for the refs).
Obviously Francis doesnt play this well all the time, but what if he could play at that level? He and Yao would lead the Rox to the great success. I say Van Gundy's system is burning into Francis' head and he will take off in the play-offs.
You mean to tell me you haven't noticed how he always lays on the floor, all melodramatic, taking his sweet time. And then after about 10 or 20 seconds, hops up like nothing ever happened. He does this all the time!
Once again... how can you say he wasn't hurt? Just because he got back up? That makes him tough, but doesn't mean he was never hurt... in fact, I'm still blaming the fact that he was dosed up on his body's endorphins and opiates (to mediate the pain), and that's why he said what he said...
I normally see him on his back on the court, grimacing in the air like he did make a mistake or something... but I rarely see him face down in the first row of the photographers, face down and motionless.. Uh-oh.... ITS MAKE UP TIME (Steve and Jim are kissing!)
Oh, the one where we said he'll do unto others as they did unto him? Yeah, we all saw it! Tech2 is right around the corner...
Yes. I thought the same thing as you. I though, uh-oh...this is serious. But then he hopped right up...and then I said..."oh, boy...here we go again."
Actually, I think he cooled off, and realized his mistake. By the way, I could careless about the cursing. I didn't bother me. I was the lack of focus after no-calls that makes me mad. How many no-calls did Hakeem get, yet he kept focused? I mean...imagine Francis doing this in the play-offs. It can't happen, else we'll just whither and die.
What's getting lost in all this is that the Rockets are a better team when Mo gives them early offense. He is a great weapon off the bench, but I still remember 2001... and how he was always instant offense at the start of halves. Yao's not playing with confidence right now... he needs to forget about his mistakes and fouls, and just play ball!
