I think the player have try what they are can do. they play with heart. dont blame them all. the only thing we can do is send email to David and ask him to fire /dismiss the old shrimple and a reference who watch Divac's hand during king's game. a Liittle bias from the reference cost the close game.
I don't think Francis played poorly or can be blamed for this loss. In fact, I don't think anyone really can be. Sacramento is just a better team. They know each other, they have been doing the same things over and over for years. You look at the Rockets...and it's one on one play with forced passes. Not just Francis, but the whole entire team. You look at Sacramento, and it's a symphony of passing. But I do remember the first year Sacramento went to the playoffs. I remember it wasn't that pretty then. I think we have to compare this Rockets team to the Sacramento team of years ago, not the hardened and pressure-tested team the Rockets lost to today. I mean, the Rockets lost by a few points on the road to the best team in the league. They played well. They just got beat by a great team that's probably the favorite to win it all this year with Chris Webber back.
This is where I'm very upset because the Rox played an exellent game against the best team in the league on their home floor. Purely stolen away by the refs.
I guess he worried too much about fouls, shots selection etc. It's his second year, with the season closing, expectation rising, he just thinks too much. We all know that the refs are not calling in his favour, it's about time to make a statement. If I were JVG, I would set him free, and tell him even if you foul out in the first quarter, and we lose the game, I don't blame you. He should just swing arms, elbows at Divac's face, get called for offensive fouls 1 or 2, that's fine, continue to do that in the coming minutes, to dare those refs to call 3 and 4, even 5 or 6. Make things dramatic, then we can get some alliance in Dallas, or some other teams who keep complaining about unfair treatment from refs. Besides, every time, Divac flops and lies down, Ming should just "loses" his foot, and lie on top of him. What to worry? Already a foul. If you keep worrying about phantom fouls, you will just get more and more, and we certainly can't afford that with the season closing and playoff coming up.
Whoever's made a complaint about the execution on the last shot should stop and realize that there's not much else you can ask for in that situation...except for a shot that comes close to going in. Steve's hit right on the back of the rim. He got it closer than Mobely and JJ did on several WIDE OPEN threes. Please stop complaining about this, its a waste of time having to read it... instead, lets talk about what Yao needs to do to get his confidence back. Its obviously gonna be waning after underachieving in two straight games against mediocre/undersized players. Maybe the Phoenix overtime-hangover is still lingering. (what were Yao's stats after Atlanta's double OT game??)
Steve Francis defenders have hit a new all-time low. He got it "closer". OH. MY. GOD. I don't fault him too much, but folks ... he shot 7-21 tonight. When are we going to learn that this IS the success rate at which Steve Francis is shooting the ball? This is not a fluke.
22 foul calls v. 11. Nuff said. And to tell you the truth, I wouldn't mind some of those scum bag refs get slapped in the face.
I'm not defending him Clutch (nor am I a SOF...), I'm just saying that people are more likely complaining about who was taking the shot, rather than what kinda shot it was. With 10 seconds left, and no timeouts, and you're down THREE... there's not much else you can ask for. Had JJ's or Mobely's shot been airballs, there wouldn't have been as many complaints. I'm also trying to get people to focus less on this, and more on constructive opinions to help the team, and Yao, get outta the slump. Stop fueling the fire!!
Strategy to win: let Oakley play the first half and hack the opposite center to death. When Oakley is fouled out, send Yao in.
Stevie "Franchise's" line for the game... 7-21 FGs, 1-3 3P FGs, 5 RBs, 6 Ast., 5 St., 2 TOs, 2 BLKs, 2 PFs, 1 Tech. and A 3 GAME SUSPENSION COMING! Get rid of this sorryassclown! Can anybody explain to me why Scott Padgett got off the bench with 13 seconds remaining? It sure as hell wasn't to let Steve Francis try to shoot 8-21 for the night!
Is that like saying we went close to beating the Kings tonight? scoring in basketball is pretty much black or white nick..... you don't get points for hitting the rim or pts for difficulty 7 of 21 is good right????
A few points after watching game: 1. Yao played like crap, though some calls were not valid 2. Don't single out SF3 to bash, other players made mistakes also 3. Rox played a decent game in SAC's house, but lose is a lose anyway 4. If Yao keeps playing like this, we have zero hope in playoff. 5. If Yao keeps playing inconsistently like he did in this season, we have zero hope in winning a title.
yes. por que? that one fan pissed me off the one with the purple afro behind our bench.. when yao fouled out, he stood up and taunted yao
i wouldnt jump on stevie for shooting that shot...he got a good look, time running out, no play was drawn, we need to shift the blame of the hurrendous officiating tonight. This is the first game this season where I really got upset about the calls. And if you have to 'earn respect' in order to get fair calls...well that doesnt make much sense. Referees shouldnt let players arguing about their bad officiaiting dictate the rest of the game. Refs like that old man, whoever he is, should be slapped in the face a time or three for being such morons.
OK, can someone explain to me what exactly went wrong in the game, why steve got a tech/suspension????
Forget all the finger-pointing and all the excuses, these guys just don't seem like they care. There are no specific players, the entire team just doesn't seem to have their heads in the game. The last couple games, all the players, Yao-SF-Cat-JJ-MoT, just don't look like they are there mentally, they are just "going through the motions." Their actions and emotions make them seem like they could care less if they come out with a win or not. I hope it's not true and I'm pretty sure it isn't, but these guys don't seem focused on the game, which leads to turnovers and just bad b-ball. Frustrated Rockets Fan, Gucci
