You know, this is starting to feel a whole lot like the championship years Rockets. At the beginning of the game when the announcers spoke of Bibby's two winning shots in the past week I said out loud, "You can't hit a game winning shot when you're down by twenty." I just knew the Rockets would run away with it and sure enough, they're well on their way to running away with it. I love CD. I love JVG. I love this team.
He's complimented us a lot. He keeps it real, though. I respect his analysis. We're doing well, he acknowledges this, but isn't getting overly excited over a small stretch of games.
In games like this where EVERYBODY is hitting, you don't want to get one-dimensional too early. Yao gets his late because he's our go-to guy when we absolutely need a bucket. IOW, team-play gets you 14 point halftime leads... but going to your star at the end gets you those close wins.
welcom to the machine, seriously, welcome to the machine but one play that is gettting scary is how comfortable and how almost to perfection Mcgrady smoothly uses that Yao pick and sticks a jumper. that could become one of the all time efficient plays for this team. that may not even be a play, just pure flow and chemistry, and of course talent.
People are really complimenting the Rockets..everybody Bill Walton the old guy sorry don't know his name..he said that we'er gonna surpass Kings in standings and be #5. Bill said we have potential to go far into the playoffs all the way to the end for the western conference. And Al and Hubie.. They said we have beaten Sonics and Suns and Mavericks. But they didn't say Mavericks were shorthanded..so were Suns. Oh well. We still beat good teams.
man, when you shoot early in the shot clock, the other team plays no defense, and you have a bunch of shooters all hitting their shots, it's damn fun to watch. it didn't even seem to be hard to get to 66. of course we'll probably cool down a little but we've got enough offensive firepower to hang with anyone.
The Rockets' transition game on the offense side of things are clicking on all cylinders like V-8. When was the last time they had almost 70 points before the half?? Yao Ming has been having his way inside. Wesley, James, Padgett, and Barry has been knocking down the perimeter shots as well. That said though the game ain't over yet because we know the Kings could get on an offensive roll in a hurry and we need to keep up the pace for the second half. Not letting them get second chance points is key here. If we win this game tonight, then we're only a half game in back of them.
the kings will come out with a lot of fire in the second half. it's important to weather the storm, then make a run of our own.
the kings are planning on staying with thier man in the second half (according to michelle). if they want to stay with the shooters, then they can't really double yao and tmac. look for the stars to get it going in the second half after james, barry, and wesley combined for 32 points in the first.
