excellent play call by jvg coming out of the timeout. everyone run around then bowen throw up a terrible shot.

and does swift do one damn thing that involves coordination unterribly? i mean seriously. he has as little touch as humanly possible

And the crappy offense is back! Whoa, I was starting to get worried for a minute there, thought we would actually manage to play like this for a while...

Yao will just never be effective enough against quicker, smaller lineups (which is about half the league nowadays), it's really frustrating knowing that it's not his fault (due to his size and inability to keep up) and yet knowing that it hurts the team tremendously when we just can't get him involved.

Can we trade Swift to get Cato back? At least Cato won't be so disappointing to watch, since we won't expect so much more like we do with Swift.

Yao can make the same shots Miller makes from the high post and that would solve the fronting defense crap and open the lane for guys to cut to the basket. Why we never use Yao in this manner I don't know.

Look at that idiot ref telling Yao to go to the lockeroom, and saying "No... he didn't foul you."

You think if Shaq goes up to him with that same rant, he still has control of his bodily functions?

Yah, you should've heard what he said about Howard; he makes Drexler seem tolerable :D

    finally some validation!

even kenny agrees that our perimeter is the main problem.

They've given the ball plenty to Yao up there... he gets the ball fine, but he still draws the double, and he hasn't shown any sort of consistent touch on his shot this season.

Yao STILL doesn't have decisiveness when he finally gets the ball... he has that 1-2 second pause when he thinks too much about what he wants to do, instead of just doing it.

You can tell that when he gets in a rhythm, all these problems seem to go away... I just wish he'd find a way to get in that rhythm more often.

Might be too late by then...

The thing is I am not as freaked out when we play even good, solid teams but that are slower and match up well with us, but I always worry playing quick, quick-shooting, high-octane offense teams like the Kings and Memphis because we simply can't keep up for the entire 48 minutes with those guys, and the whole damn league realizes that, but again: what can we do about it? It's not like some teams are going to give us 'handouts' and thereby magically turn DA/DW into a Joe Johnson or something.

yeah...DA smiles waaaay too much for a person sucking real bad up to this point...it's almost like "Yeah baby, I hoodwinked this team into signing me, they THOUGHT they had a good deal, but I got the last laugh"

You think he would be tall enough to shoot over defenders or hit guys with good passes driving the lanes. The decisiveness thing is JVG's voice in his head yelling 50 different commands all at once. I think you have a good point on him getting into a rhythm. We need him to stay on the floor and out of foul trouble that might help him find his rhythm.

In his rookie year, Yao can shoot those mid-range jumpers better than most of guards. Right now, I don't know. His shooting touch seems gone, including his best shot, those hooks.

Yao is becoming a poor man's Shaq, shooting range wise, but he has no Shaq's strength and quickness. That is what JVG want to turn him into?
