nice start so far. wesley gets going early is a good sign. yao being aggressive is a good sign. defense looks a little weak but hopefully it will pick up.
Great! Just so freakin' expected to see a struggling guy like Stojakovic shotting 25% in the past four games finally break out or make his shots against us
of all the calls i've ever seen against yao that may have been the worst. miller hooked yao's arm and when yao moved his arm, the official, standing right there, nailed yao with the offensive foul. how yao never gets a technical is beyond me b/c i would've just turned around and decked the ref. the travel before that was horrible too as i didn't see his foot move. why the refs hate yao i'll never know. and good to see peja banking in 3's against us.
Come on guys, defend the damn perimeter! BTW, McGrady needs to drive inside a LOT tonight, the Kings have a pourus interior defense at best...Oh, and Yao should easily tear it up, since Brad Miller likely will do his share of damage on offense with so many open shots that he normally gets against us...
When you have perimeter defense like ours , that's bound to happen. We need to see these "changes to the team" a.s.a.p.
Agreed... he's so big and visible, the refs definitely pay as much attention to him as possible. If that was Howard or even Bowen, they wouldn't really care as much what they did. They know Yao has a huge advantage (his height)... thus, they're not going to let him get away with anything else. Its dumb... I like the refs who simply just let the guys play, and let the better (normally bigger) guys win.
no, we need more of those plays where he pump fakes peja out of his shoes, then steps in, then steps back and takes an off-balance, challenged by the now-recovered peja 3. i swear he can drive me crazy when he takes shots like that instead of taking a free path to the basket. not with the calls going against him.
Don't like his body language so far, may be JVG saw the same thing and wanted to talk it over with him. Hopefully it's not injury-related...
Its his new substitution pattern to get T-Mac more rest in games, so his back doesn't flare up as much from overuse. Its worked pretty well in our last two wins... T-Mac has had productive/high scoring minutes when he's been in there, and he hasn't had to play 42-46 minutes like he normally does.
