No matter what happens, I love PJ Tucker, dude always gives it his all.

I think you are reading too much into that. That's how Paul normally is on these types of after practice things.

Rockets need to let Mitchell get his. He's inefficient as well and we have enough good defenders to keep it that way. The key is limiting the open threes from Ingles and Crowder. Both of them are killing it from deep and cannot be left open.

Shadow Ingles and make it a 4v4 game.

 

Jazz got their one win now we win three straight.

 

Alright, finally game 2. Four days in between games feels like a bit much IMO.

After our performance in game one, hopefully we can follow it up with another strong performance. See if we can get the sweep.

 

Switch it into the next gear. Time to take care of business.

 

Might be something to this. I respect Mitchell as a superstar. But yeah, maybe letting him get his inefficiently is the route to go. You risk giving him confidence to hit big shots later, but if the Rockets can shut everyone else down, it might not matter.

When I considered who I wanted in the 2nd round, Utah or OKC, my thought was that while Utah's defense is better, I didn't think they could keep up with the Rockets offensively. They did just that in game 2 with absurd shooting on the road by role players. Hard to believe that will continue.

 

I expect a much better game and the Rockets winning by double digits

In the only quarter we won in game 2, we had 3 corner 3-pointers, from CP3, EG and Ariza.

In the other 3 quarters, all of which we lost, we had ZERO corner 3s. Harden and CP3 need to spread it around.

 

Are you talking about "takes" or "makes?" Is it so much "spreading it around" or is it "just hit the damn shot?"

For that matter, as great as it was that Clint got some nice plays inside from Harden, it also mean less volume 3pt shooting.

What happened to traveling after the game? We practiced here today then travel? Seems we should have went last night.

Good point, I was talking makes. And apparently, PJ got one in the first quarter.

Q1: 1-1 corner 3s, Utah wins quarter 36-28
Q2: 0-1 corner 3s, Utah wins quarter 28-27
Q3: 3-4 corner 3s, Rox win quarter 30-22
Q4: 0-1 corner 3s, Utah wins quarter 30-23

To me, that corner 3 is always a clear signifier that the rest of our offense is clicking. It we create those shots AND hit a good % of them, we're golden.

 

this is what I'm worried about. Exum became the Harden stopper. Harden is going to have to beat his matchup in order for the Rockets to win.

And it's soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo rare that James Harden beats his matchup.

Harden will figure out Exum, probably pretty easily. Nobody on our team was ready for this kind of game from Exum.
