After this game , i like T-MAC more , He is good,he performace almost perfect, but anyone else? In 3rd Quarter,T-MAC give his teammates chances to beat jazz ,but what the result?
T-MAC , donot lose self-confidence, you will win the champion with Yao soon or later.

Yao probably is thinking,"well, that's it. I'm gonna kick the ass out of you every time I met you in the future, Utah, Be careful."

My hat goes off to the Rockets and coach Adelman. They have played through a lot of adversity.

I compliment Rick Adelman on his coaching and his leadership to get us through this season and a chance in the playoffs.

I never thought Rick Adelman would be a good fit for the Rockets but I think now at the end of the season I feel that he has done a tremendous job with these rookies and injury ridden team.

As far as the point guard situation is concerned I think Rafer Alston is a good fit as a point guard for the Rockets.

I think we should keep Rafer, Landry, Scola, and Battier.

Tracy played really well this last game.

I have two concerns for the Rockets next season.

The Major concern is the health of Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming. I hope they can be healthy for the whole season.

My second concern is the lack of a third scorer.

I have confident in Morey to acquire better peaces and improve our team in the offseason.

    Go Rockets 2008 - 2009 World Champs!

Jazz guys torn my heart apart, while rockets guys drove me mad. Except Yao and T-Mac, we DON'T have a damn 2nd shooter or scorer from the start to the end today...

There's no problem with either Yao or T-Mac. What we badly need is another guy, maybe two.

Usually I would be beyond pissed off at this point of the season. so pissed off that I would completely shunt down any thing Rockets. However, I really can't find myself being upset this year. When I look back at this season, I can't say one bad thing. The Rockets throughout the season did the unthinkable. We were counted out when we had a 15-17 start. We were counted out when Yao when out, but we proved them(who ever that may be) wrong! With the amount of injures and obstacles this team faced, I guess I wouldn't blame anyone for counting us out. With all that said, no matter how badly Rockets fans feel right now, we still had a HISTORIC SEASON! There is a NBA champ every year, but there has been only one team in NBA history to have won more consecutive games than the HOUSTON ROCKETS! The future looks great! We have some solid rookies and over all one of the youngest teams in the NBA, and not to mention two All Stars in Yao and T-mac! I am proud of the Rockets and I am more than proud to call myself a fan, well not just a fan, a ROCKETS FAN!!!!

It is what it is at this point in time. Morey did what he could in the time given to him to bring in useful and quality players to add much-needed depth to our thin system. The personnel decisions made by the old brain-trust from years past cannot be undone in one season.

For example, one decision can set your bench back for several years. Take Luther for example. The scouting on Head was that he's a terrific shooter, but would be drastically undersized as a two-guard unless he transforms himself into more of a point guard or a scoring combo-guard. To this day, he's stuck somewhere in between those two modes, trying to be a facilitator at times, while trying to be a scorer at other times.

Luther was drafted by the Rockets with the 24th pick in the 2005 draft. Take a look at the list of players drafted after him, and ask whether those players would have helped in this series against the Jazz. Those players include: J Petro, J Maxiell, L Kleiza, D Lee, B Bass, R Turiaf, M Ellis, L Williams, A Blatche, R Gomes, and even A Johnson. Any of these ten-eleven players would arguably have made a much bigger difference in this series than Head did.

The thing I'm looking forward to the most is seeing what moves Morey can pull off this coming offseason. While I do not see drastic changes in our immediate future, I believe he has the capability to make some great under-the-radar moves that will pay off in the near future (e.g. Bobby Jackson's expiring, trading a future second + cash for Landry, etc)

    Alston, Brooks
    McGrady
    Battier
    Scola, Landry
    Yao

    Francis, Jackson
    Head
    Harris, Novak
    Hayes
    Mutumbo, Woods

I'd be very surprised if one of the players from the first seven gets traded this offseason, but would expect more than one of the players from the second eight to be gone when training camp starts. Look for a more athletic big if Mutumbo decides to retire (ala Blatche, Johnson, etc), and a wing player that can stretch the defense and play some semblance of defense (ala Garcia, Pietrus, etc).

I've been reading on this site for six years, and I'd figured its time to finally post some thoughts. Thanks for reading.

Enjoyed your first post, Chinmerinadian. Thanks.

I feel bad for Luther. Last year he gets posted up by Gordan Giricek. This year it's Kyle Korver(!). Jerry Sloan definitely has Head's number.

To be honest, I'm a little glad that this season's over. It would of course have been great to get to the second round, but this team is way too battered to give the Lakers much of a fight. And who knows what having Alston, McGrady and Battier play major minutes on their injuries would do in the long term?

At this point, the best thing may be for the team to properly heal and prepare for next season. But they should be proud for what they were able to achieve this year.

we can't catch a break, guys. alston is a big part of our team and he went down at the worst possible time. story of our season. tmac played inspired and we shouldn't put this on him. in spite of how we're out of the playoffs, I do not feel as bad as last year.

    and how about NOVAK

    HES THE FREAKIN MAN

    OMG

    NOVAK

    JUST SAY HIS NAME

    NOVAK

I'm heartbroken - Rockets just didn't have enough in the tank. Yao, it's time - no more excuses.

I live in LA. I'm a huge Lakers fan all of a sudden.

MVP Kobe is gonna open a can of whip ass on the jazzholes!

    GO LAKERS!!!!!!

We may have come up short, but we also got to see the Suns and Mavericks go down in the first round. They're two teams I hate almost as much as the Jazz........... nahhh, not possible.
    Go Lakers.

    well it's over.

Anyway props to the Rockets for a great season and making history with 22. Some little upgrades for 08/09 (especially another pg again) and hopefully everybody is healthy for the playoffs next year. Man i wouldn't mind not playing Yao all games if that keeps him healthy. T-mac looked good no back issues, just knee, shoulder problem but hey that happens in nba games.

Vey good post. I mean bumbed knees, shoulders happen in the NBA and you have to live with that because it is a game of 'contact'

I'm also so happy that he hasn't had back problems since he went to Waco. It is great because they had been hurting him in previous 2 seasons.

Now we need to add some more pieces to this team and pray for next season's HEALTH
