ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Jazz 5/2/2008 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 6)

No any that can...well never mind about that. I'm going to have to come up with something to watch/listen to the game.

 

I have a good feeling about this....

Think about it, we won game 3 @ Utah..game 4 was a close one, the refs just screwed it up~ We have a good chance to win in Utah...

GO ROCKETS! BRING US BACK HOME AND TAKE US TO 2nd ROUND!

 

Tape the game no matter what... If you have to go with the girlfriend, so be it, do a quickie after dinner, then watch the game on tape without prior knowledge of the outcome. (Or, try to get your girlfriend to service you while you watch the game - the best of both worlds.)

My prediction:

Utah arrives on the court an utterly confused and unfocused, fractured team, sans Ronnie Brewer. Carlos Boozer gets benzoil-peroxide in his left eye and has to wear an eyepatch the whole game. Deron Williams earlier has gotten hit on the butt by his screen door and is a little sore. Matt Harpring forgets to wear his uniform to work and is half naked when he pulls off his warm-up. Jerry Sloan trips a ref and gets tossed mid-way thru the 2nd quarter. AK47 suffers a bloody nose and needs an IV, leaves the game at halftime. Okur gets indigestion and *****s his shorts in the 4th quarter while going up for an offensive rebound, leaving, instead, an offensive odor on the floor.

Rockets win, 97-84.

Same thing happens in Game 7...

 

As a girlfriend, she should be understanding enough to not ask you to go out during a rockets game.

Tell her u'll prepare dinner for her instead. This will give you extra action, and you'll have no problem catching the game.

 

PLEASE make your free throws. the team with the better free throw percentage has won every game.

 

Jazz shoot 100% in game 5, they lose by 16 still. Though if the team that shot really badly shoots 100% in the other 4 games the outcome does change.


Not quite as simple as you say but yeah, FTs is a good start.

true, but the past two years have shown that the team as a whole does not fully come through under pressure.

Tonight will be different!

 

If we make our free throws and they miss there's then we have a real good chance of winning. If rafer scores 20 or above and scola gets his double-double the we will def. win. If shane battier and a couple other players score in double figures and Tmac goes for another high precentage shooting night man would we BLOW THEM OUT.

 

I wanna watch another Game 7.

4:30 AM our time. Why don't they mix schedules just a little so the game would be at 7:00.

Someone please...pray for me. Pray for the Rockets. I'm so nervous. But you know...I think in my mind I've already decided they would lose and I'm content with that. But then...I am also hoping I'm lying to myself

 

man i was hoping that jvg would be an announcer for our game....hes doing the celtics hawks game....anyone know who is announcing the rox game on espn?

 

a good girlfriend should definitely understand how important an elimination game is to you. not saying she isn't a good one, just saying i think you have a case to be made. you can always make it up to her.

 

Whatever happens tonight, this team has played with more heart and energy than any recent team in the last few yrs. Let's try to remember that whatever the outcome may be.

 

Go Rockets! Force game 7 by blowing out the jazz again. We are the better team. Rockets win 101-89
