    Jazz Fan arguement on tonights game

    Quoted from a Jazz fan that I play NBA 2K8 with.

    What a bunch of BS..tonights game is not going to be a close to a slaughter fest and even if it is a slaughter fest the rockets will be the ones doing the slaughtering..and they havent seen CLOSE to our best yet

    I agree we haven't seen their best yet, but our "best" beat them by 26 points. We have a little wiggle room, I'm not too worried.

    I'm pretty sure Game 6 was pretty close to our best, so that's just you being a homer. How would we be better? Battier was off, but Tracy and Bobby both shot 50%, and Rafer was 4/7 from three. That's pretty much topping out, in my opinion.

    I don't think it will be a slaughter fest in either direction.

    Should we really care what a jazz fan thinks? Seriously, the opinion of a Jazz fan does not merit its own thread. I'd understand if it was some AM radio personality or one of those basketball "experts" but you are talking about a Jazz fan you met on NBA 2K8. Uhhh WHO?!? :confused:

    What is your friend basing his prediction off of precisely? A gut feeling? Is this back to the future II and he's managed to obtain the same book that Biff purchased with all the sports scores from the past 30 years?

    I think it's ridiculous to make these baseless claims about how one team is going to blow out another. It's hard enough predicting a winner, let alone predicting someone will win by 20 points or more.

    Hi, Everyone!

    Regrettably, I have to head home to my folks' house tonight AND I have to get up quite early, so my schedule's likely to be a bit disrupted. :( I do have ESPN set to record here at my place though, and, if at all possible, I'm going to try and stay up to watch the entire game.

    Hmmm? Thread splicing?

    Same ol' stuff. Limit their second chance points, maximize your second chance points, limit your turnovers and score at a reasonable percentage.

    Utah IS due a "good" game, by their scoring standard, so the Rockets need to play another VERY good, defensive game. (And I keep saying they need to anticipate where off-shots are going, and then move to get better position on rebounds, instead of watching the ball in flight until it hits the basket area -- wider view needed.)

    If the energy level is the same as game 5 and the shots are falling (esp. 3 point shots) then they have a great chance to bring this back to Houston for game 7.

    Oh no. My girlfriend wants to go to Memphis and eat around 6 tonight. It's an hour drive there and an hour back. Eating is going to take at least an hour and I am not even factoring in the weekend, payday, rebate check crowds. I want to watch the game but am afraid I gets no sex if I decline to go.
