Lets ignore all the bandwagon fans

Utah usually slacks off after a win, we need to take advantage of this and go up big on them in the first half. Luther Head, Juwan Howard..MAKE YOUR DAMN SHOTS. We will love you if you do that.

    GO ROCKETS GO

    I BELIEVE IN HOUSTON

Mavs could possibly be blown out by Warriors,
    then we'll play them.
and we can blow them out, hah.
    not too bad.

yao needs to get better positioning. i dont like when he shoots jump shots even when he makes them. he needs to get closer to the basket.

Seems like GS really have shot into second round, they just shoot great and great hustle players, and I start thinking if Rox can beat them b\c they are another version of PHX Suns, and even in better condition.

You are right. Yao takes a lot of well contestet jump shots. I do not like that, because i want Yao to get to the basket, draw fouls or make shots near the rim.

No, it's not. If we lose, we still come home and have home court advantage. If teams are evenly matched (which as 4 and 5 seeds with almost identical records, we are) then wins going to the home team most of the time. We'll be favored when we're home just like they're favored when they're home. The thing is, we don't have to steal a game in Utah but they HAVE to steal a game in Houston. That's why we have the advantage and the pressure is still on them, even if they even up the series tonight.

The simple truth is until Yao can put the Turkey clown to where he belongs -- circus, Rockets will not have an easy game the whole series.

Tonights game will be interesting. The Rockets played pretty hard in the last game, and although we've seen them play poorly on offense, Game 3 was worse than anything I could have imagined. I give partial credit to the Jazz who played hard defense, but a record low like that is definitely 51% Rockets. It is really, really easy to play great defense on a team when there is no penalty for collapsing on the ball on every play.

I feel good about the series. We were in that game despite playing the worst offense I have EVER seen.

Comparisons to the Dallas series are not directly applicable, so I don't like hearing that stuff. YES, the Game 3 loss was caused by a similar failure. Once again the rest of the team didn't show up to help Yao and McGrady. But NO, we have not hit the wall against a better team who is improving their game. I see the Game 3 loss as an massive underachievment on the part of the Rockets.

    Some points for Game 4:
    1) Yao and McGrady were the only ones to show up in Game 3, and I think they did an admirable job, but they certainly have higher ceilings than what they showed. Hopefully Yao is angry, since that emotion has served him well in the past. We won't make it out of the second round without a bench, but I think Yao and McGrady could almost pull this series out alone if they are playing great. They can definitely do better.
    2) Head has proven to be a clutch shooter. I'm shocked that he didn't have a better game, and I will be even more shocked if that streak continues. I was really hoping that Head would be an X factor in the playoffs this year, and I'm still hoping for it.
    3) Howard has been bad lately, and although I expect a better game from him, I can't say that Game 3 was a fluke. We need Howard to knock down shots to play great offense. He is the third option, and his offense is almost a necessity for consistency.
    4) Battier has to do better. I don't care what his skill set is. He has to do better to make up for the price we paid for him. Great players pick up their game in the playoffs, average ones fade.
    5) Alston isn't going to give us a thing (see point 4). We all knew it during the regular season and that is why we begged to see someone else. A message to JVG: just don't let him lose a game singlehandedly. If we are losing Game 4 and Alston is 1-11, TAKE HIM OUT!!!! Throw Lucas in to shake up the mix... it couldn't make it worse than Game 3.

I've got a nick for Rafer... One-fer. As in one fer 11, one fer 16...

Rafer will play extended minutes regardless of his shooting... not that I like him, but that is the cruel reality Rockets face -- there is not a backup PG that JVG trusts. I screamed for VSPan to play some, but deep down, I know it is unlikely to happen...
