ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Jazz 4/28/2007 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 4)

Goals:

1. Shoot over 39%

2. Put glue on Yao's hands

3. Make TMac look like he cares

4. Electro Shock the Bench

5. Lock Rafer in the dressing room

6. Give Chuck lifts for his shoes

7. Give Howard a Geritol "IV"

 

This is a statment game!

The D was great but we really need to protect the ball and MAKE SOME SHOTS. Also, we cannot rely on the jump shot so much. Attack the rim!

 

We're comin' out of that POS town with a win! Rockets up 3-1, let's go baby!!

 

Rockets come out flying. Yao scores 20 first quarter points! He makes Okur and boozer get into foul trouble all night and he continues to dominate in the paint. T-Mac will hit 18/26 from the field. He will only miss 2-3 jumpers because he is not settling for jump shots anymore. Most of Mac's points come from dunks, layups, Free throws and 1 or 2 3's. Luther Head hits 4/6 from downtown. Meanwhile, J-Ho gets his game going to finish off the night with 15 pts. Rockets win game 4 to take a 3-1 series lead back to Houston.

 

T-Mac and Yao combine for 60. Rafer gets a triple double. Luther hits 3 threes in a row in the fourth quarter to close out the Jazz. Rockets win by 15. All is happy in Clutch City again.

 

We beat ourselves more than the Jazz did. We come out firing on all cylinders and erase any false hope they have.

 

it'll be hard for tmac to attack the basket if the guys don't make shots. they sag in the lane all the damn time. so we must start out w/ yao and role players making shots. then tmac can then get his.

 

Well last game was terrible, but do not forget that we lead series 2-1 and that's key. We have played not very well n 3 games but we have won 2 of them. I always belive in Rockets so i hope we win on Saturday.

1. WE WIN
2. Bench won't play very great but will play pretty good basketball
3. T-Mac will have great shooting night, but he will be more agresive
4. We will make our 3s and jumpers but we will get to the freethrow line as well
5. We will play just great defense
6. We will rebound the ball well
7. We won't turn the ball over many times

If Warriors beat Mavs in the 3rd game, Rockets will win this 4th game.

 

Game starts out like the first 3. Rockets fans begin to question if Mormonism is the right religion... then Luther Head comes comes off the bench for 3 first half three-pointers! Juwan follows suit by hitting 3-5 WIDE OPEN jumpers from the elbow. Rockets win and fans feel better about their religion.

 

If our FG% can go beyond 40%, we should be able to blow the Jazz's @ss out.

 

No, because Dallas is gonna beat Warriors i really think. Just win for the Rockets

I was hoping for a sweep, but I guess it is going to be a six game series as most people predicted....

Rockets ruin utahs hopes of advancing out of the first round by blowing them out by 40. T-Mac and Yao combine for 60 and the rest of the team scores 50. This game is a must win, we don't want a repeat of what happened vs dallas
