Well, during his Orlando days he was a better finisher because he was more athletic. He lost that great first step of his and he has average hops now. Now that his athletic talent has decreased, his fundamental flaws are beginning to show. The big thing is that he doesn't have a killer instinct - anyone who does would at least put in extra hours in the gym to bring up his FT% up to par. His FT misses are sometimes cringe worthy.
whats lucky about making wide open shots??? missed layups are not unlucky. THESE ARE WIDE OPEN LAYUPS
That the rookies can compete on this level is a huge bright spot for the future. But rookies are still just rookies. Mcgrady played well in the first but the game just got out of hand in the 2nd and when he came back in he couldn't stop it.
He's playing terrible. Look at his shooting numbers in the game log: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/gamelog?playerId=532 In his last 10 games: 5-18 10-23 5-16 11-27 14-29 12-31 5-22 9-25 5-16 11-31 PATHETIC
wow... that is terrible man. giving up on our star like that?? how about this: carrying his team to a playoff spot in the tightest playoff race in the history of the nba without yao ming... yup, washed up..
You know what, I am sick and tired of you people telling the truth! Your just an objective rockets fan that is stating the obvious! I guess you think we would be better with Kobe or Lebron. Well you should just stop speaking the truth and act like TMAC is imposing his will!
Missing layups and FTs at the time of the year, especially at this occasion, if just unacceptable, period.
He's been shooting badly except in a few short stretches the entire year. This is nothing new. He just usually makes up for it with his passing etc. When he doesn't the rockets get worked.
It's all about working in the offseason to make your game better. And it's obvious he hasn't been doing that.
I feel like we are playing well and suddenly in one minute everything turns down. Looks like players give up, we're not competing, fighting, etc.
I just think it is a little strange about last year the rocks won all their first home games, then in utah lose by almost 20 points every game, and then the jazz eek out a game 7 victory. I really think the refs were like a 6 man for them
is he still a star? he's a good player, not great. probably as good as kevin martin or joe johnson is.
