that is a logical argument. and your this post is the crap. and I do not see why you need to threw out the word 'crap'. calm down man.
I do want to see Yao succeed but why should JVG go away from the five that blew this game open. Only an idiot coach would put back Yao Ming just because he's the centerpiece of the team. If we're playing good basketball without Yao in the game, then dont bring him in until the players on the floor get fatigued
His minutes won't be up much in the playoffs, he will still play 30-33 minutes a game on avg. Deke will still be utilized a lot since he has playoff experience and will be very solid guy in the playoffs to help out defensively. Nothing against Yao, you just have to go with what makes you win games sometimes: if it is Yao, then great! If not, then Deke's rebounding and blocking is more beneficial at times, especially when the opponent is having one too many rebounds and we need more fastbreaks/2nd chances etc.
Nothing is normal in the playoffs... all bets are off... and if T-Mac plays like this every game he's "focused" (Cleveland game, and this game)... look out NBA.
this is for the bball historians, has jvg successfully developed any great young talents in his entire coaching career? I just could not recall any (but maybe it's just my lack of knowledge).
My point and sneaking suspicion/concern is that JVG ain't changing Yao's playing minutes in the playoffs...TMac is gonna log even more minutes but not Yao.
I believe that JVG is only good in giving needed "breaks" to players with experiece..look at what he has done to Spree (NY days), Sura, Kurt Thomas,....
Stop being so pessimistic. If we win who cares. If we don't, well I don't wanna even think about that yet. The playoffs haven't even started yet, let alone ended. All I'm sayin is: if we win, who freakin cares. The playoffs haven't even started yet, so who the hell knows how many minutes Yao will play and how much he contributes. I have a radical idea. Why don't we just cheer 'em on for this final playoff push and enjoy the postseason ride.
