I get the concern, but this is an overreaction. Two games. Just two. Give it a few more games before going full panic mode.
....and it made me sick to see him go off on Clippers last Sunday. Honestly, the Rockets are great at finding talent, but poor at developing and retaining them. When you don't give guys playing time, their confidence does not grow and development is stunted. The D-League is not enough
Everybody is tired at this point. They had 3 day layoff in between. To me, their body language is strange. Harden was ignored on several plays. I hope it is not some locker room issues. You just don't see them work as a team like they used to in those two games.
Any time we lose it's because we get out rebounded and second chance points. I think this problem will be over with when Dwight's back. DMo is good but he needs to play backup center
Terrible effort, we are in the home stretch of the season holding onto HCA for dear life, you cannot have games like this. Just terrible, we are pissing away HCA in the first round, a loss to the Clippers tomorrow would be devastating.
Mirror image of last season when the Rockets' quality of play really dropped off the last month before the playoffs (while it was much better in Jan and Feb). At least for now we have the "No Dwight" excuse.
No one among the bigs thought of just face-guarding Gobert, not let him get near the rim for rebounds? What is McHale teaching these guys? Just shrugging his shoulders, and saying "more effort"?
Additional reasons: Harden is having a bad game. Harden is stymied by the defense. We are bricking 3s, and no one thinks of taking a midrange shot. We are missing lay-ups. We are missing FTs. McHale is not making timely adjustments. McHale is not making the right substitutions.
