This part of the season is playing out almost identically to last year at this time. The Rockets a year ago were 44-19 and playing some of their best ball of the season. Then they went on the road for 3 straight games against tough opponents. They had a close loss to OKC, then didn't bother to show up at Chicago and got smoked, and then had a close loss to the Heat resulting in their first 3-game losing streak of the season. Last week we were playing some of our best ball of the season(screwjob against Memphis notwithstanding) and with a record of 43-20 headed on the road for 3 straight tough opponents. We had a close loss to Portland, didn't bother to show up at Utah and are getting smoked, and next we go into LA trying to avoid our first 3-game losing streak of the season.
He most certainly has. We all knew it was coming. Morey not valuing a 2nd playmaker and McHale's insistence on keeping a short rotation through March has officially taken its toll.
Pablo with the 'Excuse me while I get out of your way so that you can get a nice rebound and 2 points on fast break" defense.
Like I said in the fire McHale thread, the team has faltered down the stretch of the regular season in each of McHale's years here. It's a pattern.
