Harden doesn't care for Rubio. He's the reason Rubio never became a Rocket. He didn't want him. CP3 has always liked Rubio. And so has MDA.
I'll say it again. Rubio is a great player. And if Utah stays healthy they are going to be a tough out in the playoffs. Yes, we are better. We're either the beat or second best team in the Association. And they couldn't adjust to our small lineup. But....They're tough. They defended us better then anybody has. And if they get another piece next year they're gonna be championship quality. Mark my words. They're coming.
Capela has proven nothing yet. He'll have to prove it in the playoffs. That's when the big boys get rough, tough, nasty, and real mean. He had to do it there before I'm buying.
The entire rockets team needs to prove in the POs. That doesn’t mean anything. Capela has made great progress and become one of the best big men in the league, hence fans are debating whether he’ll get max offer this summer. Your hatred for him is getting old.
he has no consistency. never really has. claims to be objective but in reality isn't. he thinks the world of scrubs like rubio who have done next to nothing in their pro career but lose games more often than not and never gone any better
Don't hate Capela. Not even a little. I actually like him as a person. And my hope is he'll bring it home. Butt I'm not blind even though I'm a homer. I am and will remain objective. He needs to prove it in the playoffs. If we lose and we are healthy it will be because he underperformed.
He had not proven he's capable of holding down the defensive paint in the playoffs, no. Video don't lie. And the numbers back up my assertion.
looks solid this season by far. whatever your homemade assertions are bare very little meaning when his productivity speaks for itself.
Rubio has proven he's an elite distributing playmaker and arguably the best point defender in the Association.
To some degree. Rubio is one of those guys that has proven mettle because of his National team experience in Spain. He's led a team to the championship round and game against a collection of the best players on the planet and he competed well. He didn't wilt. And he earned high praise from guys like CP3 who battled him. So although Rubio doesn't have playoff experience in the NBA he has experience that closely resembles the pressure cooker of the playoffs. That means something. Another somewhat proving of a player is what he does in the regular season against winning teams. Although it's not the same as the playoffs it does provide clues as to what the player is gonna do in the playoffs. In any season you can take 39-43 games of data and pitch them in the trash. Because when you are on a good team and you're a role player like Capela is, you can pile up very favorable numbers playing against inferior teams that are lottery bound and not even trying to win. That leaves 39-43 games against other teams that are competing to win and actually have some talent. From those games you can't draw total conclusions but you can start to see indicators of the range of performance possibilities in the playoff grind. And that's why I'm saying Capela is unproven. Because I've watched his defense against playoff contenders and I've observed our teams paint defense against playoff contenders and there's some numbers that are emerging.
The Utah Jazz couldn't score after the awesome high 5 from CP3 to Harden's mom. The final score remained Houston 96, Utah 85.
