Barrett's fun to watch. I remember being intrigued by him before the draft. It's interesting to see some of his positive pre-draft descriptions panning out so far.

It's unfortunate that we have three backup PGs right now and no starters.

It sounds like JVG's going to shake things up. Hopefully any changes he makes are positive.

This start is depressing, but I'm sure this is just opening month jitters. They will be fine.

Clearly the season has a lot of games left, but I'm not sure if McGrady's reputation as one of the games greatest can survive another year where his team performs significantly below expectations.

    Jordan he is not....

While I like Barrett, the steal at the end wasn't cool. I know he's trying to keep himself in the league, but his play is enough. He doesn't have to inflate his stats with stunts like that.

I think that can be said about most of the starters tonight. Yao got in early foul trouble, on two horrible calls. Mo T was invisible. (Oh yeah, he got one offensive rebound and then blew the layup. ) JJ was alright, he blew up for a little when JVG cleared the bench. At the end though, JJ had about 3 three pointers in the corner that were wide open and he blew them. Yao never got on track. McGrady was on target for a while, making some incredible shots, then he kinda faded away. He was on the bench during the run. I don't know what kinda defense the Jazz run, but they had us stifled. Enough said

our archillies heels are still lack of quality starters in PF and PG!!
Mot, Spoon and padgett are all backups so are ward, lue and barrett.
I dont like Howard but maybe is time to start him!!!

Naw, buddy, I doubt it. But like it has been said before...We can only go up from here. It is so tough to watch to sometimes.

All the Rox looked like stuffed turkeys tonight. Slow, old, stuffed turkeys, defensively lazy, who let the rooster have their way with them, before accepting the innevitable slaughter.

    PGPGPGPGPGPGPGPGPGPGPGPGPGPGPGPGPGPGPGPGPGPG.

yes we need a poing guard 2 ASSISTS from your Point Guards is HORRIBLE. Before the season started i had pointed this out. But everyone was like ohhhhhhhh Ward is stable that's all we need!! ...............well B.S now you have your proof....LUE well sadly he is worse than Milt Palacio. And BoB Sura is not the cure to this teams problem. This team has till the Allstar break to decide if they are pretenders or contenders . hopefully the latter. anyway had to get this steam off, not that i watched the game but have been looking at the stats each game and not lookin pretty at all.

The schedule up until this point has been the worst of the season. We've only played five of our first 14 at home. Eight of our first 15 games are back-to-back games, only one game of which is at home and every set of back-to-back games has travel on the night after the first game. This on top of the fact that, other than Sacramento, we had the toughest preseason in the NBA with a trip to China and a greatly reduced practice schedule.

We've also been without our leading scorer for 2 games and our projected starting point guard for all of the games.

Good teams end up slightly above .500 on the road for a season. The Rockets are currently 4-5 on the road. If they improve their home record - something they will likely do given the difference in their statistics in home vs. road games - and stay around .500 on the road, they will be a solid playoff team.

This isn't to say they don't have prroblems. They do. There is no question that they have some personnel issues that need to be addressed sooner, preferably, rather than later. But, considering the schedule, it isn't a real shocker that they are below .500. I think Feigen predicted they would finish November at 7-9 which requires they split their last two games of November, both at home and both against teams who are struggling at the moment.

damn i hate the jazz. what is wrong with yao? he is so inconsistent. why do refs call so many offensive fouls on yao but when shaq gets aggressive, its a no-call?
