Maybe JVG is just not motivating them anymore. Maybe his system is too complex. We do need a spark though. We also need a physical player to stomp a mudhole in someone. Someone to get the team fired up by any means; getting a Technical for the stupid refs not calling fouls, or getting a awsome block or dunk, anything to help us bring up the emotion some. I don't see anyone on this team that can do that. We really need that.
Is Tmac just not playing with a lot of energy or does it only seem that way tonight because he was being double teamed most the time???
I think the max I ended up gettign on my stream was 5 people. Anyone care to comment on it? Any choppyness, too loud, not loud enough...anything?
Before getting benched in the 3td he was the only one out there playing with energy. When he came back in the game in the 4th he was out of rythm and the Jazz kept doubling him. I do expect more from him though. He needs to get to the basket a little more and maybe be a little selfish and put up a few more shots.
I was trying all night to get the link working, but it just wasn't doing it for me Miguel, keep putting it up though, guys like me who live out of town definetely appreciate these kinds of things
i think the fans can do that. we should go to the game and yell at the refs for doing the poor job maybe that will give our players some fire and start playing hard.
You probably don't have Winamp on your computer. If you do...well, there's something wrong on your end probably (ports blocked, or something) Anyway, for now I may only be doing Rockets games...but there may be other stuff in the works for a later date. Once I have some more cash, I may be able to set up a link that would have about 20+ people connected, and not killing my internet connection like the current way does.
Yep, just found the site.... http://www.audiorealm.com/members/streamhost.html Would cost .50 cents per user. I'm thinking 20 people would be fine. Although, the funds is what's stopping this. Heh. Being a broke college student without a "decent" job, as well as being a sports fan, takes a toll on my wallet. Hopefully this will all change very soon, and I'll have 10-15 bucks a month to splurge on stuff I don't really need for myself.
Sigh, can the games get more boring to watch? It's like i'm watching a playbook instructional video on how to run plays but the ball never makes it in the basket. I'm getting tired of lazy screens, people jogging around to their positon on the floor (i bet in practice JVG puts tape on the gym floor to show exactly where they are supposed to be) and just going through the motions, and when a defensive player blocks that motion of the play all hell breaks loose and t-mac just chunks up a 22ft jumper. I see no fun out there, next game just look on the faces of the players.. they look frustrated, hopeless, mentally tired. I respect Steve Francis for even wanting to stay here.. But the big picture is that this is a dificult November and we knew it wasn't going to be easy, so there is still hope. If we are still under 500 at the end of December.. I would seriously consider personnel changes.
im not surprised with the loss, utah is one of our worse matchup teams, we beat them at sg, and thats it. ak47> JJ on both ends arroyo> both guards Boozer> both forwards, both ends yao and deke> collins BUT, they played okur, which stretched their defense, okur was hitting his shots, so yao and deke had to come out, opening up the middle, allowing ak47 and boozer to also hit their shots. we desperatly need a new pg, and better pf. it wouldn't hurt if we had a third string center who was 6'10 and mobile.
I was at the game last night. My observations: Yao: Played like he thought he had left the oven on at home. His mind appeared to be anywhere but the Delta Center. He didn't even pretend to give a damn about getting SCHOOLED by puffs like Collins and Borchardt. The 1st quarter fouls were iffy, but good heaven the guy's 7'6''. You would think he could at least grab some boards. Mcgrady: Had a few sparks; the dunk over AK was sweet, but seemed more interested in flirting with the dancers than playing ball. Mo: UGH Deke: Played hard, but must have had Crisco on his hands. How many rebounds squirted through his hands? Barrett: I like him. Played with a lot of energy, total opposite of Ward. In additon, he can flat shoot. Damn, i understand that the warmups are not the game, but he didn't miss. Van Gundy: Looked like Phil Jackson sitting on the bench all night. Didn't appear to care after the first quarter. Terrible performance by the starters. Never good when your third team has to put you in a position to win the game. And succeeds.
It's gonna be hard to win games when the leading Rebounder is J. Jackson with 6 rebs. Thats just not gonna cut it. I'm not sure why this team can't seem to get more rebounds, but they need to find a way to improve that stat.
I noticed that too. When you have talented guys like T-Mac and Yao you don't need too many of those plays from playbooks to get points, just be simple and talented guys can deliver. It's not like you have an Old Reggie Miller has to run him off 3 screens to get him the shot.
Put me on the mailing list for the Barrett Fan Club. He's got quickness, we need someone who distributes, a spark plug, someone with guts. Who cares if he's only 5'10"? Yeah, there will be some matchup problems, like we don't have those already... Now just get us some muscle at PF. That's where the real need is.
