jazz have same coach, same players. rockets have new coach, new players. rockets have not built chemistry quite yet. jazz play rockets in jazz home opener. rockets make a run, but it's a jazz victory all the way.
anyone going to the viewing party at wings n more? found this on the website: Viewing Party Rockets vs. Jazz at Wing-n-More, Marq*E - 8 p.m. Join us for our first Viewing Party of the season, where we will also be giving away season tickets to the loudest, proudest, and rowdiest fans in attendance.
The Jazz have the same advantages that they did in the playoffs. Yao will guard Boozer inside and get embarrassed again. TMac will run through a dozen screens each time he touches the ball and Okur will guard Yao one-on-one. Mike James and Bonzi Wells will give us a chance to win by outplaying the Jazz bench. I don't see us winning the game, however, and there will be thirty threads after the game bashing Yao, TMac, Rafer, Adelman, James, Francis, and Clutch the Bear. A nice reality check to start the season before we get to continue working out the kinks in our "new" offense (Yao stays out of the paint, you see) against pushovers San Antonio and Dallas. Soon, the sky will be falling. God I hate the ****ing Jazz!!
the jazzholes are a solid team. as much as it hurts to say, they are better prepared to win this game than we are at this point early point in the season. we can't hang with them in their gym. we'll lose by over 8 points (prove me wrong rox!)
yeah... we're goign to have LOTS of problems guarding boozer again... i guess we can put hayes on him from the get go. him and scola will do a better job than yao will for sure. but if they play boozer as center w/o okur, then we're gonna have to bench yao
it's going to be about rafer first, then why not steve, and then it can't possibly be this bad even with brooks. why didn't yao guard ______, why wasn't boozer put on his butt, how come scola...., james is such a ball hog, steve can't be worse, steve can't be worse, the substitution pattern sucked, how come so and so played so little. if rockets win, rockets aren't that great yet, the spurs killed them in the playoffs, they aren't ready to contend... overall disappointment with the offense, with the defense, scoring under 100 points, scoring over a 100 points the list is endless
man rockets need a better lineup to finish the game than what they used against the lakers, i dont want a repeat of last year where we cant finish games, alston is good but he chokes at clutch times.......the lineup i want to see finishing games: James T Mac Wells Scola Yao my choice at point would be Francis but, he was being a little baby last night just lying of the floor by himself and not showing any kind of excitement for the team.......i say leave he out to the rotation till he shows some team support
Prayer: Yao scores 28 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks. T-Mac: 34 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists. Shane: 13 points, 3 rebounds. Chuck: 4 points, 8 rebounds. Rafer Alston: 3 points (clutch 3), 7 assists, 4 steals. Scola: 6 points, 5 rebounds. Bonzi: 7 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists. James: 10 points, 2 assists. Francis: 8 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists. Mutombo: 6 rebounds. Head: DNP. Rockets win by more than 5 points.
the rockets are still struggling with the new system. i predict Mike James and Bonzi Wells will save the day. this game will be a real test though.
I don't see the Rockets winning in the Delta Center(yet). But they at least better be motivated and pissed off. I don't wanna see the lifeless, lackadaisical T-Mac from Game 6 last year.
