Battier looked really good out there today doing a lot of things I havn't seen the Rockets do in a long time. Do you really think Gay would have done something tonight? Because unless he would have put on about 30lbs and gained a couple of inches to lock down Boozer he wouldn't have done anything. The reason we lost was because of a crappy defensive effort and missed FT.

Yao certainly should have come out and guarded the mid range game...Boozer whipped Yao's butt tonight.

OH, and this just in....we still don't have a PF.......so that is going to hurt us with teams with 2 quality big men.

There goes the high expectations. Let's try to beat Utah first before we put our team in the San Antonio, Dallas, Phoenix category. Very disappointed

I'm studying for my board exam too, but watching them actually relaxed me, it puts my mind at ease that we got awhile to go before we can jell or find our true identity.

I can put off watching until I pass this damn test!

Yao played well. The same problem though, JVG style is so ineffective and not gelling still. The rockets didn't play as a team on both ends. I don't know but it's just not working. Blame it on tmac's selfishness or on JVG's style. I don't know..but our FT shooting and inside presence is still weak. WE only have yao dominant inside. Hopefully Bonzi can fill that role inside. Rafer is still worrying me ..he can't make any shot when it counts or when he's open. 0-6 to start with and when we were losing by 20 then he started scoring..

It's not just one game, its the attitude that the team has. We could pawn it off and say we pulled a Heat/Suns and that we underestimated their team. This team played EXACTLY like the played all of last season. Lost, uninspired basketball. Dribble dribble dribble shoot, clank. Boozer rebound. Funny tonight, AK47 had nothing. Why was that? Because Sloan knew that even though AK is their best player, he wasn't theyre ticket to winning tonight. Boozer was. He was a huge matchup problem for us and they took advantage. See our problem was that we didn't have any matchup problems against them to take advantage of. Oh...wait...

8/24 FG shooting from T-Mac, 23-36 on FTs by Rockets are two big reasons why they lost.

The other reason is that da Boozer abused our power forwards, Battier especially. Batman got only 1 rebound in almost 32 minutes of play and allowed Boozer to get 19 rebounds along with 24 points.

It's alright. Even the best teams don't bring it every single night. Look at the Heat last night. The Rockets will be fine.

I don't like today's TMac, whose shot selection was very questionable. Especially in 4 quarter, when the Rockets was just down by 5, he shot a 3 instead of pass the ball to Yao who was in 1on1 situation. Hope they could learn something from the loss.

OMG...ill never be in a room when we lose again. Some of you guys need to chill out. TMac had 25 pts, 9 assists, 5 rebs, and 3 stls. He didnt shoot well and hurt us with missed shots at some points but also kept us in the game in the second quarter. A lot of blame should go to JVG for the rotation, handling foul trouble, and he needs to take better control of the offense. Its only one game but Im nervous about going to the Dallas game now. By the Way....Tmac better improve his shot selection or its gonna be long night playing against Josh Howard.

You disagree that Yao letting Boozer shoot uncontested 15 footers all night was bad?

lack of defense and rebounding cost us the game.

pts wise tmac with 25, yao with 22, alston with 15..doesnt seem that bad..

but we can't let freaking jazz score 107 on us.

    imagine the phoenix suns.

We aren't going anywhere in this league when Rafer shoots more than Yao.

    5-13 Rafer
    8-12 Yao
