Who else thinks that JVG relishes these games where one of his studs goes down.

He seems like the type of guy who loved to play 1 on 2 basketball (he being the one) when he was young.

Sura is doing really good. Padgett is going crazy running around..might mistaken him for Ryan Bowen..who is doing a terrific job..he's really consistent..his shot has been consistent tonight :)

Jon lol funny guy finally made a shot..not even a shot..a layup from Sura :)

    Spoon did good 10+ rebounds.

    Yao eh lol

I think it is as simple as him loving the fact that his team stepped up to the challenge, playing really without not only McGrady, but Yao for most of the 2nd half. I think he likes this blue collar type of game the Rox are playing, they are showing that they can step up to take more responsibility when our stars are not playing/performing. THAT is major, that shows we have a solid cast of role players on this team.

I think JVG should buy some nice cajun dinner for the team after the game.

BTW, I was wrong, Yao is in, and I don't think it is smart to needlessly risk an injury to another one of your stars.

Why is it when Deke goes out the Rox allow the Hornets to make a little run again?

Come on guys, keep up your D.

Yao needs to show aggression to finish the game off. What's the latest on T-Mac?

Damn, is Yao hitting the wall? He hits it every season, hopefully this mediocre play isn't a sign of things to come.

Looks like Rockets are going to win without much of Yao's impact.

Certainly a scary day for any Rox fan because of TMac's injury, a victory nonetheless.

But it marks a very disappointing day for Yao. His snail-paced progress to this date has gotta make Yao's most ardent fans disheartening. I think he's running out of excuses.

Well, it is almost April. This is usually the time of year he goes through one of his spells. As long as T-Mac's injury doesn't keep him out too long though, they'll be ok.

No... when he's not "in" the game mentally, everything suffers.

And vice versa... in games where his shots are falling, and he's not picking up dumb fouls, he can be dead tired... but his confidence gives him extra energy.

How has he hit the wall? I'd just like to see one game where he leads the team in shot attempts. It seems like whenever he has a nice start, they stop going to him. He had a 9 point 1st quarter and then you never hear from the guy again. I'm not a Mike James hater, but the guy takes way too many shots. They need to keep Yao involved when he's hitting early.

Its a strange cyclical process with him.

When shots stop falling for him, it compounds his fatigue (which will ALWAYS be there), and he starts picking up dumb fouls.

When he's hitting his shots, every other aspect of his game picks up... including his stamina, footwork, and defense.

I have had with Yao. He is NOT the second coming of Hakeem.

I am sick and tired of his passive act. He delights us with one game in Phoenix and fools us the other games.

Trade Yao for BD and Pietrus and 1st round from the Warriors. They will go for it.

    Bye Bye Yao. Good riddance!

And don't forget the "trade Yao for Odom, Mihm, and Butler" thread. :)

Man, lets just say you have a point (even though I don't think you do) and he needs to get the ball more, so he's not getting but you know what? So what? Mutombo doesn't EVER get the ball and he makes a HUGE impact every minute he's on the floor with his defense and his rebounding.

The fact of the matter is that Yao right now is being outplayed by his backup, a 40 year old back up at that, that would be like T-Mac being outplayed by Steve Smith.

I am glad to see Sura getting back into the type of player he was in that winning streak. He has been playing very well (rebounding like crazy and being very aggressive) in the last two games now.

I hope he keeps this up, we will surely need it.

    BTW, a Vin Baker sighting:)

He had this habit in China too. That's just him.

He isn't the second coming of Hakeem. Quit "dreaming".
