francis was the highest pick of the 4 point guards drafted that year. Davis, Terry, and Miller where the others. As of right now, would you take francis before any of them?

When Steve deferred to Walt Williams, Cuttino, and Shandon Anderson a few years ago, there was no doubt he was a better play maker... I guess Walt was an icon to him back in Maryland and when Walt wanted the ball, he got it...I think I heard Steve once say that if he didn't pass Walt the ball, he'd be in his ear all game. I think perhaps Steve needs a few players around him that demand the ball.

Steve is playing better today though...

So, Armstrong's scoring is Steve's fault, but Baron Davis shooting 6-19 is just him having an off night?

Has anyone else noticed Moochie has been getting a lot of 4th quarter minutes lately? And that JVG will sometimes even put Moochie and Steve on the court together, and have Moochie play the point? Both changes to the better, IMO.

Moochie looks good so far. Once he gets on the floor, he hits a 3. And then give a nice assist to Taylor. And more importantly, HE HAS NO TURNOVER SO FAR!!!

To certain extent, we could credit Francis for that. But Baron Davis has not shot well in the last three four games. I think his average must just above .300. He has been

    5-22 against New York
8-25 and 11-29 against the two Orlando games. :)

Looks like Mo Taylor is on fire.

Why can't I get into the chat?

But it is still way better than Steve's 3/12, let alone his AS#

I think davis shooting so bad has a lot to do with Yao and Cato closing the lane not francis. Even with the bad shooting he has CLEARLY destroyed francis tonight. I think he has what 9 assists and 0 turnover?

I think we should create two game threads: one to talk about the game and one to bash Steve Francis.

    :p

Doc Rivers was an idiot for letting Armstrong go. The guy is a winning player...

& hearing Doc Rivers justify not retaining him was a joke. That is when I lost respect for him and I'm sure his team picked up on it too. Doc had the emotional response of a player instead of a leader, a coach.

Francis played sloppy again....but his penetration down the stretch of the 4th quarter opened up some wide open shots, and he delivered some great passes....like that JJ three.

Props to steve for being unselfish at times.
