ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Hornets 12/27/2021

I'm in Charlotte and am debating on whether to go to the game. Going to Rockets games with my dad from 92-96 were some of the greatest memories of my life, but as an adult with no kids, it's hard to justify the time, money and energy in watching two very average teams.

I also prefer having commentary and the ability to fast forward halftime and commercials. I feel almost guilty about not caring.

 

Do ask me about our chances. @DeBeards stole all my stuff. First my psychic goes rogue, and now this. Go Rockets!

Honestly I will get much more excited about this team once they trade Pippen and the gingerbread man

 

The fact that you're even entertaining the idea of going to the game, already speaks volumes to your fandom.

This is coming from someone who has never been to a game or bought much Rockets merch before, but imo, watching the occasional game, even on TV, is 'caring' enough.

Last month:

Three points attempted: Hornets (#3), Rockets (#6)
OFFRTG: Hornets (#2), Rockets (dropped to #26)
DEFRTG: Both teams stinks. Rockets #29, Hornets last #30

Against the Pacers, our guards and wings overplayed theirs. Playing too tight, jumping at their pump fakes. The pacers players are OK but not great shooters. And Wood's interior D wasn't great.

Unfortunately, against this Hornets team, who can score well off the perimeter, they probably do warrant the Rockets to play them tight. Hopefully won't dig themselves into a hole in the first 8 minutes of the game.
