Didn't you kind of expect a letdown after the emotional game last night? Not surprised in the least. Plus the Post-Katrina mystique is heavy in NO. It is like they have to win to help the city and give the fans hope, etc, etc.

Mostly, I'm chalking this up to the 2nd half of back-2-back syndrome. Tired legs vs well-rested home team is always a factor.

If there is any "problem area" I'm worried about, it's the fact that the Rockets seems to get killed quite abit by quick midget guards. Sure, Spanoulis might have helped, judging by his FIBA game vs. Paul, but it's different rules. Easier to defend Paul when you are allowed to touch his ass. (and I dont' mean the ass part literally).

The leaders of this team didnt show in the 4th. When ball was in Chris Paul's hands, you knew it was going to be 2 pts and he's 2nd year guy. Something to think about for both of our super stars.

PnR of theirs not connecting. That shoud be our bread&butter. Tmac needs to drive a little more.

He has a ways to go. It looks like he hasn't touched a basketball in months. It's going to take some time for him to get back into rythm, but we need him to play like his normal self to get where we need to be as a team. I'm patiently waiting for him to come around.

The Rockets did not lose because they just played bad. They were tired, and also didn't do great distributing the ball, Tracy McGrady should have taken more shots in the 3rd and 4th quarters, Yao Ming also got into foul trouble and played nasty in the 1st quarter, one thing shows is that Tracy McGrady is very close to getting out of his shooting slump, we saw him drive a few times to the basket, and he went 4/5 in the 3rd quarter, he is coming back to himself closely.

JVG has something to think too. VSpan beat Paul last they met.

I did kind of expect this, after last night's game, playing another one might be too much for the Rockets so early in the season.

But the problem for both our away games looks like the 1st quarter, against the Jazz, we somehow conceded 35 points in the 1st quarter and tonight, against the Hornets, we only managed 15 points, if we managed 20 points in the 1st quarter, we could of gone on and won this game.

The Rox just need to start alot quicker when the game tips off on away games because it has cost them in their first 2 games on the road.

Bonzi is just fat. I don't think he can even dunk the ball.

It is funny how bonzi and tmac in occasions play like they have never touched a basketball before.

i am sure that vg hasn't even thought about this. you should call him on his weekly hour on the radio and outline just what you said here. maybe he will even think about them during game time!

thats not the issue, TMAC has proven he can get 23-28 ppg, its just that he would take 30 shots doing it.

Im a firm believer in that his still being cautious about his back, hence the lack of explosiveness and aggression. So ill give him another 2-3 games and if he still hasnt found his groove by then i'd only then begin to start worrying.

We didnt play spectacularly, but we didn't lose to weak teams either, both Utah and the Hornets are looking real good this season.

We need some smart players (like Vspan, Tmac, Wells) rather than the dilligent players (Head, Hayes) on the court. So the best player is Shane who's smart and dilligent.
